Standby is a gamble. I did a late arrival and overnight stay. Shuttles from zone 2 at P3. 80 to 41 is easier in daylight hours w a fun stop in Stroudsburg for the quaint quilt store. The car was good for the whole week. Video security has escalated well from prior years. I did spothero. Loved the travel experience overall.

Stayed at the Hilton the night before an early flight. All went well on our overnight stay. Went to use the pool and was told it was under renovations. The main reason I chose the Hilton was to utilize the pool. There was no mention of renovations on the website and/or at check-in/time of booking the hotel. This is the second time this has happened at a Hilton location. Feels like a scam. Advertising a pool, but not keeping up with the repairs and calling it "renovations"
The main issue was upon our return to Newark Airport. Once we reached the shuttle area, we waited for 45-1hour for a shuttle to arrive. That shuttle was FULL within minutes. People were pushing in front of our family and bringing their luggage to the back of the shuttle. The driver did nothing to ensure that he was prioritizing the people who were waiting. Then we waited another 20-30 minutes for a shuttle. Very disorganized and after a long flight, we just wanted to get to our park and ride at the hotel. Again, misleading when we were told every 20 minutes someone would arrive.
Once we arrived at our park and ride, someone has illegally parked behind our spot. It was clearly illegal because the car had a large orange/yellow ticket on it and it was not in a parking spot. We could barely get out of our spot. Took almost 15-20 of wiggling out of the spot. I have no idea why the vehicle wasn't towed. If we had a SUV, there would have been no way for us to squeeze out. Poor planning.

Mr. Anthony at the reception was great. He helped us with a lot of queries. Mother reception desk people were genuinely very helpful. The only reason I give it a bad rating is due to the location and the cost of commute from the location into NYC. Rooms were decent, but it was very very odd for the house keeping to come bang at 6 am to do housekeeping. That's was extremely weird .

the hotel is definitely older, with dated rooms. On the map it looks very close to the airport, but you actually have to drive around the freeway to get there, which takes longer than expected.
When we walked in, there was a noticeable old cigarette smell, and the floor looked dirty. As a Diamond member, we received a $15 food credit for breakfast. It didn’t fully cover the cost, but the portions were large, so that was a plus.
Overall, the stay was okay, but the hotel could use some updates and better upkeep.

Had a layover in Newark in September 2025. Stayed at this Hilton property by the airport. You can tell this has been here a while. While convenient, it is dated and some of the decor is out of time. It could use a refresh and update. However, the property is managed well. It isn't bad. It has a park lot adjacent to the building and is gated. You do need a card to access or exit. Easy to and from airport and they do have a shuttle. Over all I was satisfied with this location and property. The service was good and the people attentive. Hope they update the furnishings and catch up to some of the newer Hilton decor soon.
