I made an unplanned visit to the Winter Quarters Center in early November and was the only visitor at the time. I was fortunate to receive a personal tour from Elder and Sister Brown, a kind and knowledgeable couple from West Jordan, Utah. Although I am not a member of the LDS Church, my interest in the Mormon Trail stems from a deep appreciation for history and the pioneering spirit. The museum exceeded my expectations. While the collection of artifacts is modest in size, each item is thoughtfully documented and enhanced with replicas and engaging storytelling. If you have the opportunity to visit, I highly recommend exploring the cemetery across the street. Also, don’t miss the beautiful quilt displayed in the room where the introductory video is shown—it’s a lovely and meaningful touch.

Sure, it's from the LDS perspective, but lots of interesting artifacts and displays without any religious pressure.

It seems like they'd have a cut away of the Winter Quarters Temple, like they have in Nauvoo with some history and pictures attached. Years ago, there was a lot more to see. I was disappointed. Missionary couple were great 😃.
