I checked in on 1/2/26 around 5:00 pm and checked out 1/4/26. Every time I had to interact with the front desk; the ladies were so very friendly and helpful!! Breakfast was ok. We were too busy to actually eat it in its entirely because we had to leave in a hurry for a tournament. The room - 2nd floor - it didn't smell like mold. The room was ok. It was dated. Hopefully, the rooms will be the first thing they do.

I would rate this.a two star hotel. Rooms are dated and need upgrading. Carpet looked dirty, wallpaper was old and in some places particularly the bathroom the paper was peeling off the wall. Bed was ok, pillows flat and bedspread looked dirty. Bathroom floor grout very dirty, toilet seat loose and generally tired. Breakfast is good but that is not where I spent my night.

A few small negatives. The hotel is very close to the highway so it feels like the entire building is shaking when large vehicles pass by. It also seemed kind of loud in the hallways. Also at times you can hear showers running in other rooms, toilets flushing, and heaters going on and off in surrounding rooms. Good things though would be the quickness of the hotel staff from check-in, getting up to the room and inside. I brought ear phones so once those were in place I barely noticed the other noises described above. It's a smallish room but it still has everything you need including a wet bar station with sink, microwave, and refrigerator. The bed and 4 pillows was absolutely divine! I've never slept so well in a hotel and I was very appreciative of this place! I would stay again and expect the same great experience!

I booked this hotel for our family and thought it would be like other Hampton Inn & Suite properties I had stayed at. I was wrong. The beds in our room were WAY under par. The mattress and box spring were the cheapest I had ever slept on at any Hampton anywhere. My wife and I felt like we were being sucked to the center of the bed. The center of the bed sunk with our weight and the edges of the bed were still high. We are normal-sized people. I’m 200 pounds and my wife is 120 pounds. The beds were just cheap and uncomfortable. The shower had gouges in the tub with rust covering the damaged spots and rust around the faucet. The Wi-Fi didn’t work. And on top of all of that, we paid $228 for one night! This kind of room should’ve been $50 or $60. Furthermore , the hotel was partially under construction and there was caution tape all over the lobby and at least on the 4th floor when we got off the elevator. And just to share my full experience, this was the first Hampton Inn where I have had this level of discomfort. Most are at least on par with what I would expect. I will say that the personnel and staff working there was very friendly.

Not sure what standards these ratings stem, but this hotel is a dump. Evening staff could have cared less that the room I selected, room 441 with two beds, was wrong, but it smelled horribly of marijuana, so much so, we had a contact high and don’t get me started with the overall filth of room 435. We requested to change rooms; and the indignant front desk female worker on 12/05/2025 at 6:30pm acted as though we shouldn’t be breathing her air. When she handed me the new room card, I asked what room number and she said, it’s on the envelop and then walked away. Mind you her response to the marijuana odor was, “well that’s a smoking room” and she never once apologized for the hotels LATE room preparedness or it being the wrong room all together. There were bed bug casings, stink bugs and a hair in the sheets when pulled back; and under the pull out sofa… just gross. Absolutely disgusting. With the current renovations to improve the quality for the visitors stay, do us all a favor and improve your front desk help too!!!! I’m done with the Hiltons in Rocky Mount NC, this was the second horrid experience in recent weeks. DONE!!
