Worst hotel ever. Booked with points - the hotel added a $240 night additional charge and could not fix it. Spent an hour at the front desk with a women who was unable to untie the points night and the 240 nightly charge against these reservation. Hotel also appears very worn out - at least in the lobby.

Where to start.. I got there and the one side elevator was roped off, I went to go press the button to the other side and the electrical panel is falling off the wall.. I opted for the stairs. I walked in my room and every cabinet and drawer was wide open like they did an inspection and didn’t close anything. This morning I walked out of my room and a homeless person was sleeping on the ground outside the rooms. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at everything is so outdated. Don’t go here.

Homewood Suites Raleigh Crabtree Stay Dates: November 7 through November 9, 2025 Room 414 This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The first night I felt extremely uncomfortable. My back and stomach were very itchy, and I could not rest. I ended up sleeping on the couch with my jacket because I could not stand being in the bed any longer. The air mattress did not have any bedding, and there were no extra sheets or blankets available. By Saturday, after leaving for my weekend events, I noticed several irritated bumps and rashes on my skin. I had marks on my cheek, ear, collarbone, arm, and back. In total I counted eleven bites. I went to the doctor, and after using cortisone cream that did not help, I was told these are consistent with bed bug bites, not mosquito bites. The welts are warm and swollen, and the irritation increases with heat. After reading other recent reviews mentioning bed bugs on the fourth floor, it is clear this is an ongoing issue that management has not fixed. Renting out infested rooms is unacceptable. The room itself was also very dirty. There were strange stains on the doors, a large bug in the shower and another on the refrigerator, and the room had a strong smell that reminded me of feet. The elevator situation was also unsafe. One elevator was broken, and the one that did work did not close properly. This stay was a complete nightmare. I left covered in bites, stressed about possibly bringing bed bugs home, and disappointed that a Hilton brand hotel would allow this. I will never stay at or recommend Homewood Suites Raleigh Crabtree to anyone.

If you follow me, you know I don't like leaving bad reviews but I can't let another person walk into this blind. I'm giving this a 3 because of the math when averaging my 2, 2 and 5 stars for rooms, service and location. I know 3 doesn't seem bad but a 3 from me is hard to earn. Location is 5! It is absolutely within walking distance of the mall. There is also a Mexican restaurant practically in the parking lot. I gave it 2 for service because if you expect someone to pick up when you call either from your personal phone or the phone in your room there's a 33% chance no one will answer, even if you call back to back several times. One night I called from my room a second time and let it continue to ring with no answer while I also used my cell phone and eventually got an answer. I gave rooms a 2 because not was my room an issue so were amenities and the hotel in general. The shower head leaked and was coming out of the wall. The air vents were dirty. There was a water leak stain on the ceiling. The bed slept terrible. I didn't wash my hair but if you plan to wash yours take your own conditioner because there is none in the room. The water is also terribly hard! My face was so dry and tight after I washed it that I had to moisturize it multiple times that morning which is abnormal for me because I have oily skin. There was construction going on which made only one of two main elevator operational. That's fine but what I didn't know was the elevator buttons didn't work, instead you're supposed to use the rigged up box on the wall. Even when I used the makeshift box after waiting several minutes, the elevator did not come. I had to down two hallways to get to the other one. Lastly, don't be enticed by the evening reception. Yes that was the one thing that tipped the scales when I was choosing a hotel. This one had hit breakfast and am evening reception so I assumed there would be a bar and food on site. It is literally only in Wednesdays! I'm on a budget and thought I'd get drinks and snacks so I wouldn't need to go out for dinner. Call me cheap, idc. I needed to use the business center to print a document. There was no keyboard. When asked for the password for the printer so I could connect to it to print the front desk lady said it doesn't work but to email it to her and she would print it. I will say she was very nice about it. Somehow that changed formatting and it printed on 3 pages instead of 1 page. It made my day more difficult than it should have been. Breakfast as ok. The bacon is absolutely ridiculous. Its thin slivers of bacon that you cant even pick up with the tongs without breaking it. The potatoes and egg-omlets were ok. The waffles were great because an employee told me not to let it cook the entire time. She was very nice, friendly and helpful. I was not expecting this experience from a Hilton branded hotel especially not in a major city like Raleigh.

Rating: 1/5 Stars (If I could give zero, I would.) My recent stay at this establishment was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. This is not just a review of minor inconveniences; this is a public warning regarding serious health, safety, and hygiene issues that management must address immediately. Upon arrival, the room smelled of something unidentifiable. The sense of security was non-existent, highlighted by the presence of a clearly non-guest (a homeless individual) sleeping or loitering openly in the main seating area on 2 different occasions The maintenance issues were immediately apparent. Both elevators were out of service for the duration of my attempted stay, forcing guests to use the employee elevators at the back of the hotel. The hallways themselves were filthy; stained towels and discarded linens were strewn on the carpet, left uncollected by housekeeping for hours. . The walls were marred with unidentifiable dark smudges, and the furniture was visibly dirty and worn. The bathroom was disgusting, with grime covering the sink and shower areas, I would’ve showered with my clothes on if possible. The absolute worst problem, and the reason I checked out immediately, was the discovery of bed bugs. I found clear signs of an active infestation, including a bug on the sheets upon waking up. No guest should ever have to deal with the stress and potential risks of bringing bed bugs home!!! It is a health and safety risk, severely lacking in maintenance, cleanliness, and security. Save your money and your health—book elsewhere. This hotel did refund us our money but I will have severe anxiety and stress till I make sure I didn’t bring any bed bugs home!!
