    My husband nephew funeral 11/16/25 in Norlina. I went to book our room and when booking for Henderson NC it somehow switch me over to Hendersonville NC. I didn't realize it until on our way leaving out. I had to rebook for this hotel and when arriving into the lobby, we were greeted by Ms. Hunter. She asked how we were doing and I started explaining my situation to her. She immediately said le me see what I can do to help and she did EXACTLY that. You would be surprised how people won't help a guess and for her I'm so grateful for.Thank you again Ms. Hunter for going the extra mile. The next morning when going down for breakfast they had a great variety to choose from including grits on the menu. It was a younger lady that was really keeping the food and everything else fully stocked! I told her how much I appreciate everything that she was doing. My only complaint is don't throw out the DECAFFEINATE coffee before breakfast is over especially when it's not out at night. Everything else was good.

    The room was clean and well stocked with plenty of towels and clean linens. Plenty of outlets for charging devices and a nice little desk and the thermostat was working properly… always a plus. Where this place loses appeal is the gym and the breakfast. There is one treadmill, which was out of order, and one rusted out elliptical. Needs a refresh for sure. And if breakfast goes till 10, stock the breakfast until 10. At 9:30, they were out of most things, except cereal and some rubbery hard boiled eggs. No butter, no grits. The fruit looked old. The lady did finally refill the waffle batter. The place was just aggressively Meh for $175 a night.

    We stayed here once before and enjoyed the room and service. This time however wasn’t what we expected from what many have called a mid level hotel. The room looked dated( especially the bathroom) and it was just mediocre. The location is great as you have access to many eateries, hospital, highways etc. What we didn’t like was the absence of a welcoming smile and sharing with us the amenities available. It’s always good to see and hear those things. We enjoyed a good shower and night’s rest. Upon leaving, the desk clerk didn’t even look up at us and greet us with a good morning. She only asked if we’d like our receipt emailed to us. They can definitely do better.

    We stopped at this hotel after two weeks on the road and it was the worst hotel of our entire vacation. We stayed in room 403 and the toilet in our room started to overflow the first time we used it and when my husband went to the front desk to get help and/or a new room, he returned with two additional towels and a plunger! Despite his best efforts, the toilet continued to be an issue all night and we finally had to use the lobby bathroom. Although the night front desk guy had promised us a discount on our stay, the morning crew claimed they couldn't compensate us due to the fact that the reservation was made using a third party. Our third party provider was able to get us a 20 percent refund but the bigger issue was the complete lack of concern or apology by the hotel management. I just hope they got a plumber before letting anyone else check into that room! Next time, I'll find a different chain. I don't think I should have to plunge a toilet when I'm paying to use it!
