Room very nice with no negatives, except the interstate noise was noteable all through the night. The other side of the hotel was very quiet. The breakfast oatmeal was very runny so I told them and they took action which I didn’t wait to see. The words on the toaster’s buttons were all warm off so I had to guess which one if any was for bagels. I took a wrapped apple for the car drive but found the apple tasted horrible and was brown under skin even though it wasn’t soft. So nothing major but prevented the 5 star rating. 4.5 wasn’t available.

The only issues, the ELEVATOR is scary when you go up to 5 and it does a hard jerk. The beds are not very comfortable and there is NO PRIVACY with a barn door for a bathroom that does lock or even stay fully shut. Other than those things, it was a good experience.

Managing a big group of teenagers isn’t easy, but the entire team at the hotel was endlessly patient, kind, and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Check-in was smooth, rooms were spotless, and the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy. They handled every request with a smile — extra towels, late arrivals, early breakfasts — nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, the location was perfect, and the entire experience was relaxed and easy, even with a full soccer team in tow. If you’re traveling with a group or just want a clean, friendly, and welcoming place to stay near Lake Norman, this Hampton Inn is top-notch. Five stars for the amazing staff — you truly made our trip wonderful! ⚽🏨💙
