For the location staff members should have been more helpful, couldn’t find the parking garage at first. Went up to the room as soon as u walk into the room a try to open bathroom door, door almost touches toilet a sink isnt even inside of bathroom. The little man at front desk is a liar a will give u a hard time. Not to mention all of the staff looking at us as if we don’t belong there here. Not a welcoming feeling. The Starbucks they have does not work there’s no fast food around a they don’t do free breakfast a if they do we weren’t aware at all let alone make us aware of the amenities we could’ve used.

We just stayed at this hotel this weekend. 1st, the greeting outside. We asked the gentleman for a cart for our luggage. He said there was one available. But the next car that pulled up. All of a sudden there was a cart. 2nd thing is the wait in the line to check in was a 20 minute wait and once we got to the counter to check in. The gentleman was rude speaking to us and was on his cellphone texting the whole time. Also as guest walked by he was talking to them and swiping there passes instead of focusing on the person in front of him. 3rd things was once we got to our room. In the bathroom there was a big yellowish brown spot by the toilet. From where the toilet was leaking on to the floor. Just be aware of visiting this hotel.

I am not a google reviewer typically. However, I cannot stop thinking about my wonderful experience at the Doubletree in Charlotte. I met my best friend as we were going to the Jonas Brothers concert that night. I interacted with some of the nicest, most personable, efficient and helpful hotel staff. I needed a toothbrush, and they were happy and excited to oblige. They helped us with our parking validation with a smile, and even asked how we enjoyed the concert when we got back. I truly felt cared after by this wonderful crew. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with WARM chocolate chip cookies that were so yummy! The rooms were clean and updated, and very cozy and spacious allowing us to get ready for the show with ease. We enjoyed watching some tv, listening to music and the amenities were nice. The proximity to the venue (spectrum center) was PERFECT! We were in bed by midnight, and did not envy our fellow concert goers stuck in downtown traffic post-show. Again, I am not in the business of google reviews but the staff at the Doubletree Hilton in Charlotte City Center is the epitome of HOSPITALITY! I would stay here 100 times over.

The building itself was great — clean, modern, and in a perfect location for exploring downtown Charlotte. Unfortunately, our experience had a few odd hiccups that made the stay less than ideal. We arrived around 3:45pm (check-in time is 4pm), but weren’t able to get into a room until about 5:15 p.m. I had already selected a room through the Hilton app — on the 11th floor — but after going up to the front desk four separate times to check on progress, we finally got a completely different room. At that point we were just happy to get keys and settle in. Then, about 20 minutes after we checked in, housekeeping suddenly entered the room without knocking or announcing themselves. They quickly realized the room was occupied and left without saying a word or apologizing. As they scurried away I had to run after them to ask if they were housekeeping. I still have no idea why they entered in the first place. Later that night we got two random phone calls to the room, and when I answered both times, there was no one on the other end. I called the front desk to ask if they had tried to reach us — they hadn’t — and mentioned the other issues as well. They were polite and offered 10,000 Hilton points as a gesture, which I appreciated, but those points still haven’t shown up in my account. Overall, great location and a nice property, but the experience felt a little chaotic and poorly managed. Don't expect to get your room at check-in time. I’d stay again if management can tighten up operations, but this stay definitely missed the mark for a Hilton-branded hotel. Also, just be aware of the surrounding night clubs that make a lot of noise. It wasn't an issue for us on the higher floor, but very noticeable on lower ones.

We recently had a rooftop wedding here over the weekend. The rooftop had an amazing view. Our coordinator was Moriah, and she did good for the most part and definitely jumped through hoops to make sure things got done, HOWEVER... the communication between staff and the front desk was horrible and unorganized. Let's start by stating that we blocked off a certain amount of rooms for wedding guest at a certain rate. As long as they booked by the deadline, they would be able to book at the locked-in rate. The hotel increased the rate before the deadline and told us that the hotel was overbooked. Not only that, they charged everyone half price THE DAY BEFORE check-in and if payment wasn't received THE DAY BEFORE, then your room was cancelled. Our vendors were supposed to get validated (free) parking, and that was also messed up and we ended up having to go back and forth about getting the charges removed. The reception was on the rooftop, and it got cold in the evening. They offered heated lamps but one went out and we were told we were given them for free as a courtesy, so it was no guaranteed that it would be replaced or start back working. Although they did get it back working, if we would've known it was an option to pay for them.. we would've included it in the wedding cost as well. The hotel is surrounding by college campus, bars/clubs, so you will hear LOUD noise at night until about 3-4am. Pros: The rooms were nice. The Vault and The Exchange were very spacious. The catering people were very nice, and pleasing to work with. The lady at the front desk whose name begins with a M (I can't remember her name), but she was very helpful and accommodating, very apologetic as well. The restaurant inside of the hotel was really nice and my food was really good. The experience overall was ok. The wedding turned out great minus the chaos. I personally wouldn't stay at this hotel again, but if certain issues were fixed then I can see the potential of a better experience.
