I really appreciated that the fan for the heat was always on, at a moderate level - SO much better than switching on & off all night. Thankfully the air came from a clean vent in the wall, instead of the normal dreaded moldy window unit. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast wasn't great - Hampton Inn used to have much better eggs & hashbrowns. We got the rubbery pre-made "omelets" and the undercooked potatoes.

We arrived in the evening, and coming in from the cold to such a warm, friendly reception set the tone for our whole visit. The hotel was very clean in every area we saw: the lobby, hallways, elevator, and especially our room. Everything felt fresh and well cared for. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. We slept in and came down around 9:25AM, and all of the breakfast items were still fully stocked and ready for us to enjoy. At many hotels, if you arrive 30–40 minutes before breakfast ends, options can be limited, but that was definitely not the case here. If you are visiting Montreat or Montreat College, this is the best place to stay. During our visit, we even met other families who have or had students at Montreat, and they shared very positive insights about campus life and the faculty. Overall, this hotel made our visit comfortable, convenient, and welcoming, and we would happily stay here again.

They did an amazing job in making an intense situation more calming. My husband and I had stayed here previously and highly recommend this hotel.
