We booked the ballroom for a family event. The staff exceeded expectations and went out of their way to help in so many ways. The venue itself was very clean and the ambiance perfect. The location was convenient for guests, and the rooms comfy and clean. I give 5 stars.

This is our second time staying here and for sure a main stay when we need a place to lay our heads. Super easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. The valet for parking makes our life so easy, the lounge is great and everyone is super friendly.

The stay was very disappointing mainly due to the room quality and location. The walls/ceilings were paper thin — we could clearly hear guests upstairs simply walking around, and even the water running/toilet use. It made it difficult to relax or sleep. On top of that, the room’s “view” was directly of dumpsters, which felt unacceptable for the price point and for a Curio Collection property.
I would not book this room type again and would only consider returning if soundproofing/room placement and view expectations were addressed more transparently. For the rate paid, this room felt below standard. I would not recommend this property based on this experience. This stay was very disappointing, especially because it was an anniversary trip.. we left a night early.

Potential for Greatness
The Foundry has so much going for it and is a terrific choice when staying in Asheville. Its central location makes it easy to walk to excellent restaurants, plus The Refinery, conveniently located in the hotel, is an excellent breakfast spot. The building itself is beautiful: a converted steel factory with high ceilings, large windows, and thoughtful design touches throughout. From the large, inviting common space with multiple seating areas to the perfectly placed shelf in the room for a makeup bag, the details feel intentional. Valet parking was simple and flexible, with a flat fee, unlimited in-and-outs, and an easy text to request the car.
The only area that seemed to miss the mark was housekeeping. On our second day, we returned to an unserviced room after removing the Do Not Disturb sign before noon; we were told housekeeping had already left for the day. The following day, despite being out by 10am, the room still hadn’t been cleaned by mid/late-afternoon and required a follow-up at the front desk. Even then, a few basics—like refilling an empty tissue box—were overlooked. For a Curio Collection property under Hilton, expectations are understandably higher.
That said, the overall hospitality was warm and welcoming. With a bit more attention to detail in housekeeping, The Foundry would be an easy standout and a hotel I’d happily return to for future trips to Asheville.

Overall, a pretty average experience. The staff were friendly, the valet was friendly as well though on our second night, myself and three other people were waiting for a significant amount of time before we found a person not assigned to valet to help use, for a Saturday night, it may be worth staffing up... The room and bathroom appeared clean, though I did not realize it was a dog-friendly hotel, which was clearly evident by the wet dog smell that immediately hits you when you walk into the hotel room. Like I said though, the rooms were clean, there did not appear to be dog hair or dirt or anything of that nature, just a very prominent smell. There was some neat history in the hotel, it was quiet for the most part, and the drinks from the lounge were good. For the price though, I will most likely not be returning.
