Front desk staff was not very helpful. They seemed bothered by our checking in. The room was dated and the walls so thin that you could hear other rooms using the toilet. The elevator squeezed so loudly all night. Location is grear but this one hurts the Doubletree brand.

Clean hotel, older semi updated hotel. There is a smaller updated section I noticed. Breakfast is 12-15 tip and tax included. Some rooms are double beds so take note. Friendly employees.

Staying here for our anniversary, The hotel lobby is welcoming and the front desk staff is very polite at check in. Hotel is in a great location. However it ends there; the rooms are worn out and in desperate need of remodeling, the furniture is completely worn out, beds are sagging, curtains are crusty, and the HVAC doesn’t work. Asked the staff about it and they said “oh some rooms the wall thermostat works, some don’t and we have no idea what ones are which” . The TV is a first generation flat screen. Only 1 working elevator in the whole facility. The worst part is the dismissive attitude of the staff when the issues are raised, most likely because they know the issues and are numb to them. Maintenance staff is nice and quick to respond.
As a diamond member I can say this is the worst doubletree I have ever stayed in the owner and manager be ashamed, I will never recommend or stay again. This property is making me rethink which hotel chain I should be loyal to which is a shame. Do yourself a favor, and avoid staying here, there are much better options in the area, it’s not worth the price they charge to take advantage of unsuspecting tourists.
Update : after bringing the issues to the Front Desk on the second day, he was very polite unlike the night before. We were finally moved to their newer wing, this wing I would not consider an upgrade but a room more fitting of a Doubletree. The room is more modern and not in disrepair, the HVAC works correctly and the bed is not worn.
Thank you, to the manager for the response, perhaps once renovations are complete we will give a second chance. I have moved the overall star rating from 1 to 3 but have kept the room rating as a 2 based on the majority of the rooms are most likely like our first.

We just wanted to give a huge compliment to the DoubleTree by Hilton brand! My wife loves staying here, and even during our recent review trip to Asheville, NC, we had to stop and acknowledge the hotel's reliable excellence. The rooms were comfortable, but the service truly shines. We found the customer service to be absolutely perfect, and of course, those warm, signature cookies are simply amazing every time. We'll definitely be back soon to provide a full, detailed review!

While the location of this hotel is nice- what you pay for what you get is not. Wallpaper peeling on the walls, elevator had not been inspected for 2025, uncomfortable pillows and beds, paper thin walls and so much more. The outside lights don’t turn on til it’s way late and even then the outside is not very well lit. The front desk was very nice when checking in and I used the app to check out.
I do not recommend staying here at all. Especially for what they charge for what you get.
