We were extremely impressed with this hotel. It’s in a gorgeous location. Parking was convenient. The area felt safe and was within close walking distance to Harrah’s Center where we were going. The moment we walked in and were given those delicious, warm cookies and complimentary water bottles, we felt good about our hotel choice. We joked about going back with a disguise to get seconds and about asking for departure cookies at check-out. 😆 Everything was clean. The room was perfect for our needs. The fold out couch was a convenient addition, and THANK YOU for having an exhaust fan in the bathroom (which was also very spacious and clean). We decided we’d like to look for this particular hotel chain every time we travel anywhere because we really enjoyed it very much. The only thing I wish it had was a complimentary breakfast, but we enjoyed the restaurant we ended up going to nearby, and we wouldn’t have had that experience if we had a breakfast buffet at the hotel, so that was good for local businesses as well ($16 each for our 12 and 14 year old kids as well as our own was a little more than we were wanting to pay, but if it had been just the two of us we probably would’ve tried it). Highly recommend staying here!

I stayed here one night in November 2025. Overall a fantastic hotel with one minor issue the front desk as able to quickly fix. I was upgraded to a "mountain view" room before arrival but found there to be a lot of highway noise. They swapped me to a room on the street side which was much quieter. Former Hyatt Place so the rooms are a great layout. Everything in really good condition. Really convenient location with plenty of restaurants in walking distance, as well as convenient highway access. I would definitely stay here again.

This placed was packed and had a long wait time for a table, to be expected on a Saturday night. We still got old fashions at the bar and found a cozy corner couch overlooking the lovely view of Asheville. This place is perfect for friends or a romantic night.

Pros: staff were helpful (Lynn at front desk was excellent). Rooftop bar was great. Location is great - super walkable to tons of restaurants and bars.
Cons: the hotel is located just off the 240…and it is loud! Constant road noise from our room. (Rooms ending in even numbers.) Doubletree doesn’t appear to have done any type of soundproofing to help the situation.
The room has a ‘dumb’ (and small) Tv. Can’t stream or Chromechast from it.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree Asheville for an extended period, and I can say with complete confidence that the negative reviews about the front desk staff being rude or disrespectful are entirely baseless. My experience has been nothing short of excellent.
Cheryl and Lynn, in particular, have gone above and beyond in every interaction, always warm, professional, and genuinely caring. They bring an uplifting energy to the lobby every day, greeting guests with kindness and patience no matter how busy it gets. They’re attentive to details, quick to help, and make you feel truly welcome from the moment you walk in.
It’s clear they take pride in what they do and in representing the DoubleTree brand with the highest standard of hospitality. After spending a long duration here, I can confidently say that the front desk team, especially Cheryl and Lynn, set the tone for an outstanding guest experience. The cookies were just an added bonus!
Highly recommend this location, you’ll be well taken care of!
