Room was very dated, and overpriced. I was traveling with a pet and the room cost 70 dollars more. The TRU by Hilton in Tupelo was a much better room, and 80 dollars cheaper. Staff was great location was great.

This Hampton Inn was subpar to others we have stayed in. The room was clean, but the amenities were severely lacking. The refrigerator was lacking ANY shelving inside; the microwave did not have a working turntable; and the television had DirectTV with no working remote...the TV remote worked, but you had to get up and press the buttons on the DurectTV box to access any channels. The door to the room sticked, and required a bit of force to open and close.

I had 2 reserved rooms at the Hampton Inn in West Point, MS. Upon arrival the guy at the desk said $250.00 each would be charged to my account, since I was from Aberdeen, MS. He stated that Aberdeen people come to get a room and doesn't stay the night, because they come to smoke weed. I told him I was a Hilton Member and I was there for a family reunion. Bear in mind, there were other people in the lobby waiting to register in and he is singling me out by said Aberdeen People come to smoke weed. We brought the hotel business because of the reunion - July 10th-July 13th. I was humiliated. That wasn't all when it was time for bed the bed sheets were dirty. The room hadn't been cleaned. Dirty q-tips were in the room. When I reported it, the same guy that checked me in gave me the sheets to change the beds. Why wasn't I given another room? I guess because I was from Aberdeen. Others from Aberdeen were treated the same way, but I am referring for the way I was treated. I will never go back to the Hampton Inn in West Point, MS nor will I recommend it to anyone.
