    We’ve been Hilton Gold Members for years, and this stay unfortunately missed the mark—especially for a $250+/night rate. As someone who works in hospitality & guest experiences, appearance and functionality matter, and this property struggled in both areas. The good: Check-in was quick, the receptionist was polite, the furniture was newer, the bedrooms had ceiling fans (living room did not), and the room was quiet. The bad: – We were first given an occupied room, so our entire group (4 adults, toddler, infant) had to return to the desk and relocate with all luggage. – We didn’t receive our water bottles and were only given two for all six of us when we requested them. - We made several attempts to call the front desk and didn't get an answer from the room phone. – The entryway was so tight the luggage trolley couldn’t fit. – Multiple maintenance issues: bathroom #2 door didn’t work properly; only one thermostat for the entire 3-room unit; motion-sensor kitchen light kept waking our child; broken/loose floor tiles; electrical outlet finishes were sloppy; and the entry door had to be slammed to close. - No trashcan in toilet room. – The living room had no ceiling fan. – Only one ice machine for the entire hotel—and it was in another section altogether. – Breakfast ends at 9 AM, which is far too early for most travelers and made it difficult to take advantage of. - Missing fire detector in one of the bedrooms - Overall quality of work on "renos" not done properly (paint splatters everywhere, utilities not installed properly, etc). Overall: We loved the idea of the 2-bedroom layout for our group, but the service issues and room condition left us disappointed. We know Hilton brand comes with its benefits, but this hotel needs to clean up & raise it's basic standards to fit the brand. We’ll likely return to Home2Suites as our go-to, where we consistently have larger, more functional units and a better experience.

    As a Hilton Diamond of past 7 years, I always expect the best service. I checked in late, but Tre, front desk was ready for me with the room. The exercise room was clean and ready. They have a Peloton. Exciting! You can watch personal TV while exercising. The breakfast was top notch with fresh fruit and traditional American breakfast & self-make waffles 🧇. I highly recommend this hotel.

    My stay at the Homewood Suites in Jackson–Ridgeland was unfortunately not great. The lobby and general common areas seemed fine at first glance, but once I got to my room, the issues were impossible to ignore. My window looked out directly onto the roof, which was covered in trash and broken pieces — not exactly the kind of “view” you expect at a Hilton property. Inside the room, everything felt oddly put together: outlets and towel bars were placed unusually high on the walls, the closet door wasn’t level and wouldn’t close, and the ceiling fan had loose parts. The bathroom and vanity area had even more problems. The original shower soap holder had clearly been removed and reattached somewhere else, leaving the old holes openly exposed. The soap dispensers were also off the wall, showing empty screw holes. The towel bar near the sink was badly attached to the cabinet. Maintenance and cleanliness were also lacking. The bathroom vent and AC vent were full of dust, there was paint sloppily smeared on outlets and switches, and the doors themselves were cracking with dust buildup around them. Overall, the room felt unfinished, poorly maintained, and not up to any standards. It’s a total “Monet” — looks okay from far away, but the closer you look, the worse it gets. I hope they invest in some serious maintenance and cleaning, because the property itself has potential, but as it stands, I wouldn’t stay here again.
