Im a truck driver and only in town a few days.I called around last week and was told by an employee that there was a special rate for truckers of $80 something per night and it didnt matter which day of the week...Well i got in there last night and asked about a TD rate..The girl behind the counter was cluless and told me she never heard of a truck driver rate...Upon further looking in her system she says oh yes here it is...Now their card processing machine was down and she needed me to write my info on a form ,CC# and all...I was a bit hesitant but Holiday in is supposed to be a reputable company so i did it...She NEVER gave me a price and i didnt ask because i was told around $80.She checked me in and about 30 min later i get a notification they changed me $123..I immediately go downstairs and she said the truckers rate was $112 not $80 something Regular rate was $127..She said i could speak to the manager upon check out...I check out and the manager told me $112 was their lowest price.,but when i asked about the $80 rooms i was told about then she suddenly remembered that price ,but i was told it was something different. She said something about a corporate deal,but it was $80 something per night....So ofcourse i asked whats the difference ?? Her response was "ITS JUST DIFFERENT ". I asked again,,,if you can charge $80 to them ,then you can do it to everyone..Her responce was "ITS JUST DIFFERENT " She obviously wasnt going to answer my question...If i had known i was being charged that much i WOULD NOT have stayed there. The construction didnt bother me but the smell of weed in the hallways and elevator was strong.. You shouldnt lie or bait n switch your customers...which is what i feel happened to me....I couldve stayed down the road $40 cheaper....Ill definitely recommend to friends n family to definitely stay ANYWHERE but there..
