I called ahead to see if the keys were working after reading other reviews. The hotel told me there was no issues with keys. I showed up and they were not working. Also our room had multiple items that were broken or not working. We left early and there was no coffee since the night auditor was asleep.

This hotel couldn’t give us a room key. The staff had to come and open your room every entry. I have never heard of such. They claimed the system was down, it was a strange problem. Most amenities were either under repair or unavailable due to the key issue. Avoid this hotel until problems are fixed.

If you are staying at this location in January 2026, call and ask before you book your stay if your room will have a key if that is important to you. As of 1/3/26, the rooms do not come with keys so the lady at the front desk has to go up with you to let you in. If you need to leave your room during your stay, you’ll either have to leave your door cracked and hope no one goes into your room or ask the front desk lady to let you in every time you need to leave. The room numbers are not attached to the doors but are leaning up against the wall on the floor outside the doors. There is construction going on in the lobby. This appears to be an older hotel or maybe has just been poorly maintained in the past. It seems like they are trying to make renovations but it isn’t horrible as far as hotels near the airport go. It is clean and the lady at the front desk is very nice and friendly. It is tucked away at the end of the street so there isn’t a lot of traffic or noise, for that matter. If you’re outside, you can hear the airplanes in the distance but I haven’t heard anything in the rooms. The a/c and heat work fine in our room. The bathroom fixtures could be replaced- poorly installed, rusty metal and broken stoppers. There are nice places to shop nearby and restaurants in walking distance with sidewalks. I rate it 2 stars solely based on there not being keys to the rooms and the only way to get into them is by waiting for the front desk lady - this will be interesting in the morning, I’m sure, as people are checking out. If there had been keys, I’d probably rate it 3 or 4 stars. I haven’t had the breakfast experience yet so we shall see.

On a business trip and decided to stay here. Upon checking in hotel is under renovations no problem. Upon entering our room we noticed the thermostat does not work. We are then awaken at 3 :00 to find there are bugs falling on the bed and crawling on the ceiling. We call downstairs and the attendant says the ladybugs. So they know there are bugs in there hotel. She then tells us there is no place to put us. We have to wait until morning for maintenance. Call agan finally move us to room that has a cracked shower door but no bugs. Luckily we are only here for one day. Would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

This might be the best option for a hotel near the Jackson airport if you are a Hilton member. They are just finishing up a renovation.
