This was a decent hotel HOWEVER they do NOT serve a self serve breakfast, as advertised. Everything is “made to order” even though they have “breakfast buffet” listed on their menu. For me, I do not have time to wait for them to cook items that would take 20 mins to receive. I have to eat and leave quickly. All of the other Hilton Garden Inns do the actual buffet except this one. I even spoke to the mgr about this yesterday and she assured me there would be a buffet for the next 2 days while I was here. Nope. There was nothing. Very disappointing. They really need to remove “breakfast buffet” since it’s now not any different than ordering food off of the menu. Very misleading.

The room smelled like dog pee and bad smelling cleaner. No offer for any kind of discount, nothing. Then there's the nonrefundable pet fee which I get. I have traveled with my fur babies numerous times. I have never had to pay taxes on a pet fee in the many stays with hilton, but I found out you do here and there are 2 separate taxes on it. So the 75 turns out to be above 80 when its all said and done. The over priced breakfast for 15 a person consisted of powdered eggs and bacon. I'd hands down not opt for the gross breakfast. You are better off going to a real restaurant for that price. I have been staying at Hilton hotels for numerous years. I am an honors member. This experience has definitely made me reconsider my choice of hotels for future travels.

Restaurant does NOT accommodate gluten allergies. Location is in Columbia but away from most events and activities. Rooms are okay but other Columbia Hiltons offer better without chairs past their prime and with actual plush seat cushions.
