Honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for awhile. They accommodated our early check-in and also our dog. They had hot coffee and waters available in the lobby at all hours and little to-go complimentary snack bags - to me these little things go a long way. Very clean room, especially the shower. Room had a great view of the lake too. We’ll definitely be back!

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Duluth's Canal Park, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. If you're looking for a hotel that combines convenience, comfort, and stunning views, this is the spot!
Location Perfection: Situated right on the shores of Lake Superior, the hotel is about 6 blocks away from the iconic Aerial Lift Bridge, on the boardwalk, and close to all the vibrant action in Canal Park. Everything is within walking distance – charming shops, fantastic restaurants, and even the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center. We loved strolling along the lakefront paths in the evenings, watching ships come in under the bridge. It's the ideal base for exploring Duluth without needing a car for most activities.
Room with a View: Our room on the lake side was a highlight – waking up to panoramic views of the boardwalk bustling with walkers and cyclists, and the vast, sparkling Lake Superior was pure magic. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, with comfy beds, a Keurig coffee maker, and all the Hampton staples like free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. No complaints about noise either; it was peaceful despite the prime location.
Amenities and Service: The complimentary hot breakfast was a great kickstart – think eggs, waffles, fresh fruit, and yogurt, with plenty of options for everyone. The indoor pool and hot tub were relaxing after a day out, and the fitness center was well-equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. As a Diamond Hilton Honors member, parking and check-in was seamless.
Overall, this Hampton Inn exceeded expectations with its unbeatable waterfront spot and thoughtful touches. It's perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers wanting to soak in Duluth's natural beauty. I'd rate it 5 stars and can't wait to return – highly recommend booking a lakeview room!
