- LSLori SomersetNov 14, 20253.0Upon checking in and getting into our room it was a disappointment. We had reserved a king bed with a water view. When we arrived in our room we had a beds a side view of the water. The bathroom needs some huge updates. The toilet is so low and needs to updated. The stopper in the bathroom sink does not work! The curtains in the room are so hard to close you have to pull them so hard that you feel as if the rod you use to close and them are going to break! The beds are on the higher side to get into them but yes once into the bed it was very comfortable and the pillows are very comfortable also. The buffet breakfast that we had was ok but all of the hot food was not hot at all. It was lukewarm to say the least about it. On the other hand the gift shop is absolutely amazing & the ladies who work in there are a delight! The famous chocolate chip warm cookies are absolutely amazing! I don't think I would stay at this location again. I will definitely stop at the amazing gift shop and pick up some unusual gift items again.

It’s rare to find a place that tries to go the extra mile to take care of you these days. I travel often for work and I’m always excited to stay in Port Huron simply because of how hard they work to make the experience relaxing and peaceful.

The room service was excellent, and we loved relaxing on the balcony while watching the freighters pass by - such a unique and peaceful experience. The cookies were a delicious surprise (seriously, they were amazing!), and every staff member we interacted with was warm, professional, and welcoming.
