Very nice room, the beds were comfortable and it had a beautiful view of the lake also the hotel was really nice and quiet with a nice breakfast room and really nice service.

Used a 3rd party to book (Reservation.com) a month in advance not once during the booking was it told to me there was a fee and that it was non refundable, traveling for the federal government i would have never used them because of the fee, i also told them upon booking that i was tax exempt which they did not apply.
I had a change and when i called Reservation.com that is when i learned they were not going to refund me, they did tell me if the hotel manager agreed to doing so they would do it, i called the hotel and spoke to the assistant manager Joe who said his Manager would not approve a refund.
Never have i experienced such a scam, as I was never advised of a no refund policy while booking and the Manager of the Hamilton could have assisted in the entire ordeal especially with a reservation a month in advance.. terrible service, lesson learned, i will never book thru a 3rd party nor with the Hampton in Petoskey again. Terrible customer service.

1st off the front desk was exceptional!
Our 51st wedding anniversary & was so disappointed in the room! Overlooked a industrial roof top, no water view. No light above the dining table, room chair was a disaster, guessing it was suppose to be a lounging chair but the lounging part missing except a portion making it difficult to access & sit in it 😳.
Now the best part the TV was off to the side of the bed instead of at the end, so NO lying in bed to view TV......
Surly reconsider for the price of of a room here before booking.
Manager, Kari Phillips, never expressed to correct any charges when I expressed my dissatisfaction.
Be forewarned!
I spoke to you Kari, the manager, the morning of our departure & you did not offer any solution to us being so unhappy this total disaster. So don't tell us to call when you did nothing on the spot when we where face to face speaking about all these issues.
Please everyone reading this look else where if your spending this kind of m9ney for a relaxing get away. So many other great options up there.
