Best hotel in EL! New, stylish and modern, in the perfect location to be home base for MSU. Maximalist Spartan-themed design gives the hotel an actual personality to remember outside of every other cookie cutter hotel. My top floor room had great views of the capitol and was comfortable to sleep and work.
The rooftop bar is great - even if the prices on the drink menu belong in Chicago which drives away the students for the most part, a good thing. Cute lobby coffee shop - also Chicago prices. There also isn’t a great parking solution - limited expensive valet or and the public garages, which other hotels validate! But you can walk to every part of campus so who cares.
While the extras/amenities are definitely pricey, the room rate is almost always super competitive with way lesser hotels in the area, so it really comes out to a great value! It’s where I tell parents and friends to stay to visit.

As a former graduate of Michigan State University, the graduate hotel here in East Lansing has provided me with nostalgic experiences from the moment you walk through the door. Coupled with the breathtaking views from the rock bar, and amazing brunch menu, there is not a better place to stay or dine in East Lansing! The staff are courteous and responsive to the guests needs. Thank you graduate hotel!

We ventured up to the bar for New Years Eve and you can not top the food, drinks, and the view. It was amazing! The DJ was on point knowing his crowd. The establishment was clean and welcoming. The staff was very helpful and quick with service! We will be going back 🙂
Please note we did not stay at the hotel but we are looking forward to staying there in the future

The hotel itself is great. It seemed clean enough during my stay. But the room was very subpar. The bed was very hard & uncomfortable. The room didn’t have a microwave. For $180/night (the park + stay option) you could at least put a microwave in the room. The room was clean & cute, but the important part (the bed) ruined it. I probably wouldn’t stay here again because I had such an uncomfortable sleep. The location is convenient if you’re looking to be on campus. I’m not sure if other floors had the same issue, but staying on the 10th floor with the restaurant will also give you pretty consistent door slamming.
