My family went there for a mini vacation. The highlight of the trip was supposed to be the splash pad and spa, since my kids love water. While a sign said the water is kept at 86°, my 3 year old son was shivering after 10-15 minutes. There is no hot tub or spa, so they couldn't warm up. One of their outside doors is not double insulated, allows a lot of cold in, and you can feel a breeze at the bottom.
The beds were comfortable and they do have video streaming (Disney+, Netflix) available with an existing account.

The rooms were a fine size but everything is dated/worn. The pillows are two different lengths but the bed was comfortable. There were a lot of fleeting, strong smells in the hotel- Lysol, faint stale cigarettes in the linens, bile in the lobby- all things that were cleaned but lingering in scent.
The snack & merch shop isn’t really helpful but there is a CVS a short drive away if you forgot anything.
There are tons of restaurants and cute shops a 12 minute drive north, closer to the Hilton Graduate location.
We thought this location would be quieter but it was noisy at night and in the morning with children’s voices and exasperated parents.
The pool, laundry, and fitness facilities were working and looked to be well maintained.
The breakfast looked bland for the price they were charging for it.
There is active renovation in the common areas as of December 2025.
All of the employees have been helpful, but not in a warm way, in an efficient, robotic way. Housekeeping knocks loudly at 8:30 am on and woke me up each morning despite my “do not disturb” sign up since the hallways carry every noise.
Parking was free, everything you want is a short drive away, but if you want quiet- try the Hilton by the storage facility or if you want a walkable Ann Arbor experience, splurge on The Graduate near the Michigan University campus.

There was some maintenance being done at the premises. The staff handled it extremely well. The rooms were nice and spacious. Facilities were very good. The gym had decent equipment.
The person running the breakfast area was rude and unfriendly. There was no one there and no other area to wait for a work colleague to arrive. I sat at a table and had the offered coffee - but he was upset that I wasn’t ordering any breakfast - again no one there - empty seats. His form was rude and unfriendly. I and our company use Hilton quite a bit. I would suggest training for the gentleman and possibly hating off the precious breakfast area to restrict access.

I stay in Ann Arbor for a week at a time for work, ant this HGI checks all my boxes. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs with a good menu, and there are plenty of other eating options in the mall, right across the parking lot. Staff is friendly and I've gotten to know many of them. It's a nice home away from home.

Love this hotel! Great clean rooms, superb service, lovely amenities! The only place my family stays at when they come and visit. The indoor pool is perfect for kids, the gym has everything you need including peloton, and the lobby was a perfect place for us to hang out at and even watch football at. We had a bad GI bug that made our house not safe to host my family for Thanksgiving, but this Hilton came through with both accommodations and place to spend family time together. The front desk (Isaiah) was so helpful with everything, really appreciated him and his support. Thanks Hilton Garden Inn, we will always be coming back!
