    Hampton Inn refused to correct a booking error. On 10/29/25, I booked a room for that evening on the Hampton Inn website. Somehow, I mistakenly booked a room 2 weeks later. When I arrived at the hotel & found out the error, I was told that (1) the original booking would be cancelled, and (2) a room could be booked for 10/29 ... but at a higher rate. I balked at the price difference, and left with the understanding that the 1st booking had been cancelled. The clerk did NOT explain that the cancellation was dependent on re-booking the room that night. A few days later, I called to verify the booking had been cancelled. Instead, they refused to cancel it or refund my payment. In the past, Hampton Inn would have treated this as a simple booking error, easily resolved. Cancellation of this booking would have cost them nothing, as it was still 2 weeks in the future. Hilton would have incurred no loss. Clearly, Hampton Inn has changed for the worse. I won't return to Hampton Inn, or any other Hilton venue. Goodbye forever. ** please note ** the "apology" from the owner (shown below) rings hollow. When I contacted J Roberts, he refused to correct the problem.
