All in all, it is a comfortable enough place in the location is fantastic. Parking is a nightmare unless you use valet at $40 a night. The rooms don’t have much for amenities and are very old school with a school graduate theme which is cool, but doesn’t really do much for me. No easy food options no breakfast no snack food available so it’s a little tough compared to a nice suburban hotel.

Do not ignore the bad reviews. I made that mistake and I wish I hadn't. This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a Hilton property and I've stayed in many of them all over the world. When we arrived, the entire hotel coffee bar and lobby were full of students on their laptops. Granted, it is a college town. However, it was so packed with students socializing and studying we could barely get to the front desk. When we got to our room, we discovered the mattress had suspicious red/brown speckled stains on the mattress (photo posted) and there was an odd clanging sound coming from the wall or ceiling. We went back down to the front desk and were given another room. The next room had a poorly patched section of ceiling where it appeared there had been a water leak. That room also had a weird rather loud creaking clanging noise every minute or so. We stayed one night but checked out early because the stay was so bad. Betwen the creaking noise and the sounds from the hall, it felt like trying to sleep on the Titanic. Even our check out went badly.

The location is great. That said, it’s the only item warranting the price tag. It feels like they don’t care about the rest.
Mixed feelings about the personnel - the valet parking staff was incredibly nice as well as the bar personnel and the receptionist in our first night. However, the two female receptionists of the night shift on Nov 1 were incredibly rude to other patrons and me. Very unprofessional.
The rooms are outdated and need a refresh. The dust in the vents as well as the bathrooms look like they’ve been left here as-is since 1930. The fridge wouldn’t work in our room either.
Overall i’m disappointed by this experience.

I’ve stayed at the Graduate Ann Arbor around 25 times and have always enjoyed the hotel and its location, but this recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. My booking was paid through a third party, yet my personal card was also charged.
I first called 14 days ago to have this corrected, and despite calling every other day since, I keep getting the same response from Eric: “We don’t know what happened, management will call you back.” Weeks later, I’ve still never received a single call from management or a resolution.
It’s a real shame that a hotel I’ve been loyal to for years can’t take responsibility or communicate properly. I hope they fix this for future guests, but I won’t be returning until they do.
