We had a great stay here. The price was perfect for us. We had our 8 month old with us. The room was spacious. The shower was amazing with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. We were able to walk to get food or things we needed even in the winter. The staff was super helpful. We already agreed we will be coming back to stay in Portland this summer and will most likely be staying here.

I strutted in like I owned the place, tail at a confident mid‑wag. The automatic doors whooshed open with the dramatic flair I deserve. The lobby smelled like: - Freshly vacuumed carpet - A hint of complimentary coffee - Zero other dogs (a missed opportunity for networking) Front desk humans Naomi with the big bubbly smile was friendly and appropriately impressed by my presence. They did not offer me a biscuit, but they did say “Hi buddy!” which I accepted as a verbal treat. 🛏️ The Room: A Full Sniff Assessment Once inside, I conducted my standard perimeter check. Results: - Carpet: Acceptably sniffable, no suspicious residues, 7/10. - Bed: Too tall for a dignified hop, but I made it work. Sheets smelled like “unscented detergent” and “no one has eaten a sandwich here recently.” - Desk Chair: Off-limits according to my human, but I sat in it anyway when they went to the bathroom. - Window: Excellent sunrise watching vantage point. Zero squirrels spotted, but the potential was strong. 🚿 Bathroom Review Tile was cool on the belly—perfect for post‑zoomie cooldowns. Shower water pressure sounded like a gentle rainstorm, which I barked at twice before accepting it as non-threatening. 🌙 Nighttime Experience I slept like a king. No hallway chaos, no mysterious thumps, no rogue ice machine attacks. The HVAC unit hummed a soothing white noise track titled “Industrial Breeze #4.” 🍳 Breakfast (a.k.a. The Forbidden Zone) I was not allowed in the breakfast area, which is discrimination, but I did receive contraband scraps of: - A tiny piece of waffle - One rogue scrambled egg puff - A single blueberry (I swallowed it whole) 10/10 would commit breakfast crimes again. 🐾 Walkability & Local Sniffs The area around the hotel offered: - Grass patches for dignified business - A variety of lamp posts with rich historical scent archives - A sidewalk perfect for strutting No off‑leash zones nearby, but plenty of opportunities to leave Yelp reviews in the form of pee. 🐕 Final Verdict 5 out of 5 Tail Wags A solid stay for the modern dog traveler. Clean room, friendly humans, decent sniffscape. Points deducted for lack of lobby treats and the cruel “no dogs at breakfast” policy. If they add a biscuit jar at check‑in, I will personally return to knight the manager.

I wouldn’t knock it down a star for the super minor things we had come up. Overall it was a great place and a great location to stay with our family. They were responsive when we needed more towels and checked in to make sure we had everything to be comfortable. Blackout shades in the room were a game changer for napping kids! We went for holiday events in December so the harbor is 2 blocks away to watch the Parade of Lights and fireworks, and there are great restaurants, local coffee, and excellent pastry shops within easy walking distance (half mile or less). 👉🏼If you stay here, especially on a weekend, you can expect to find lots of families with kids so if that’s not your vibe, there are lots of other great options around with a more mature feel. It did quiet down significantly after the weekend and moved into a more business travel environment. The valet park was a bit of a pain. No issues if you give them 15-20 min notice and come down but we just wanted to grab an item out of the car and it was difficult to find the valet to just borrow our keys. Their breakfast is a great option- family friendly and good assortment for different diets. I like that they mix up the hot items if you’re there for a couple days. Salt water pool is NOT heated so that was a tough sell to jump in with our kids who really wanted to swim. Love that it has a Friendly Toast restaurant attached on the first floor. You do have to go outside to get to the restaurant but it’s got great options for everyone so you won’t starve for lunch.
