Location, location, location is perfect for all 3 local airports and a quick jump into DC, VA. Although it was raining when we arrived, valet service was rather slow and there is nowhere to unload your vehicle as cars are parked in front of entrance. Check in is on 3rd floor, different but workable and staff there was excellent. Wonderful bed and pillows along with a chaise that helped my back pain and incredibly quiet hallways.

Lovely hotel with great front desk staff. Kay greeted us on Christmas Eve as if she had been waiting just for us. We asked for some extra coffee and blankets which were waiting for us upon our return from dinner. Today she was back with no sign that she was missing part of her own Christmas. Just lovely and helpful and extra coffee was waiting on our doorknob without our asking. I hope she is still here on our next trip

My friend and I spent a night here to do our Christmas wrapping for our kids and Douglas and Alex at the valet were so helpful getting all our things up and down from the car to the room on the carts. Will definitely stay here again next year!

While I would have loved to give 5 stars, the lack of service I received from Kay this past weekend cannot be overlooked. I called on Friday at 11:46am, the day before my check in, and asked about adding champagne to my room upon arrival. I was placed on hold, finally she came back, took my name and number and said she'd call me back. She never called back. I called Saturday morning at 10:38am to inquire about an early check in (a few weeks prior I spoke with a gentlemen who said to call the morning of and they usually know around 11am if rooms will be available and that it shouldn't be a problem - that call was November 28 at 10:07am). I spoke with Kay again and she had such an attitude about this and said "I doubt that is how your conversation went"... so unprofessional and uncalled for. I did get the early check in, which she said would be a $50 fee, but I didn't care (and it was waived once my partner presented his Hilton Honors code). I hope Hilton records calls... it's unfortunate to have such a rude person representing their brand.
The valet was awesome and worth it. Bobby was fantastic! The hotel itself is beautiful and we had a great room which overlooked where a large Christmas tree was set up outside. The shops and food around are awesome. Check out Call Your Mother Jewish Bakery and Sunday Morning Bakehouse.
I just hope you speak with someone else upon booking. :)

This review is long overdue, but absolutely deserved. I stayed at the Canopy in the Silver Spring/Rockville area back in July, and Kay was the highlight of our entire experience. From the moment we checked in, she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay.
Kay was incredibly warm and welcoming, and she accommodated us with so much genuine kindness. She even upgraded our room and made us the “guest of the night,” turning what would have been a regular stay into something special and memorable. She recommended restaurants and shops within walking distance, and every suggestion she gave us ended up being amazing.
Throughout our stay, Kay checked in on us, made sure we were comfortable, and later offered a late checkout, something we appreciated more than words can say. Every interaction with her felt sincere. She didn’t just do her job. She cared.
Kay is one of those rare people who turn hospitality into a true art. Her kindness, professionalism, and warm presence shaped our entire visit and elevated it far beyond our expectations. The Canopy is incredibly fortunate to have someone like her on their team.
Kay, thank you for making our stay unforgettable. You made the difference.
