  My goal was to curate an amazing adventure for my 50th birthday celebration. Costa Rica was at the top of my list for destinations but I needed help with planning the trip. I am so thankful for finding Transformative Travel LLC. From our first connection to our most recent conversation following the trip, Misty and his team were fantastic!!!! Misty listened to what I wanted for my trip and he helped make it happen! He organized every aspect of our travel with a local team on the ground in Costa Rica and my wishes for a combination of adventure and relaxation were executed flawlessly! I read all of the positive reviews from previous clients and was drawn to this company’s focus on creating transformational experiences. I can honestly say my expectations were exceeded. Not only were Misty and his team professional, personable and punctual but I also appreciate Misty’s genuine kindness and thoughtfulness. Despite being on his own international travel while I was in Costa Rica, Misty arranged for a beautiful arrangement of flowers to be delivered to me on the morning of my birthday!!   Misty and his wonderful wife had create the most amazing itinerary and all the arrangements, for our 10 day yoga retreat to India. All the places and experiences they included, have exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed food market tour through Old Delhi, amazing hiking and experience in Rishikech, and two incredible rafting adventures, just to mention a few. The places, the guides, and the food - all amazing! I would trust Misty to take us anywhere in the world, and hope you will too!

  I had a fantastic experience with Misty on a trip to royal Bardiya National Park in Nepal (October 2022)! Prior to the trip he provided an informative briefing with planning materials and Transformative Travel was very responsive to all my silly questions. This trip was delayed due to Covid-19 and I thought Transformative Travel handled the rescheduling very well - I felt confident they weren't going to run off with my deposit money (which has happened to me in the past)! When we arrived in Nepal, it was apparent the monsoon was late and that made fishing difficult at best. However, Misty and the entire crew kept spirits high during the rafting and fishing, pivoted on trip arrangements to make the most of the weather situation, and I had a great experience. They worked with highly professional local businesses and the on-site travel team was solid and even included a wildlife expert and doctor (in addition to Misty's well-known mahseer fishing expertise). I saw amazing wildlife (tiger, leopard, monkeys, rhino, rare crocodiles), and we even found a place to catch mahseer on dry flies despite the conditions. I highly recommend Transformative Travel; especially if you're looking for something a little different from most travel experiences.

  Misty and Aku planned a trip for my husband Warren's 77th birthday in October. Our hopes were for a beautiful, nearby setting, a high-end B&B, aspects of the history of the area, somewhat flat hikes, and safety during the pandemic. They answered every need and more with their offerings in Harpers Ferry. They so carefully researched the area and found the absolutely best B&B and activities for us. We were provided with detailed information (including how to park in a place that doesn't have much parking), maps, suggestions as to restaurants, museums, etc. We also loved their process where my husband and I refined our ideas into an intention board (which is shown below). In this time that makes long distance travel impossible, I would recommend letting them plan a local adventure for you.
