Unpleasant stay at Hampton Inn. The staff were often nowhere to be found at the reception desk, and you can forget about reaching the receptionist at night. I called to report several off-line channels on the tv, only to be put on hold immediately. Had I not gone downstairs to speak with someone, I would have remained on hold indefinitely. As I approached the unstaffed desk—still on hold on the phone—I rang for service and someone came out to assist me, saying she had forgotten my call. It happens, sure, but this was unprofessional. Additionally, the rooms are in bad repair. During our stay, a white powdery substance from the crumbling ceiling accumulated on the table below.

I called 4 times and nobody is answering the phone. They will also hang up on you after answering.

Extremely Disappointed – Unjustified Charge and Poor Customer Service I’ve been a loyal Hilton Honors member and have stayed at Hampton Inns across the country for years without issue—until this stay. I’ve never been charged a security deposit at check-in, let alone a $500 smoking fee before even entering the room. No one in our party smokes, and we were shocked to discover this charge only after reviewing our credit card statement days later. There was no mention of this at checkout, nor was any explanation provided at the time. When we contacted the hotel, the manager’s response was dismissive and unhelpful—simply advising us to dispute the charge with our credit card company. This response is unacceptable, especially considering the seriousness of the accusation and the amount charged. It feels as though the hotel is taking advantage of guests visiting for local events, hoping these charges go unnoticed. This experience has left a very negative impression and raises serious concerns about the integrity of this location’s management practices. I strongly urge other travelers—especially Hilton Honors members—to exercise caution before booking here.
