The hotel lobby and hallways seem to be ok and worn but when you open the door to the room it is gaudy overload! The rooms definitely need to be updated. The bed was uncomfortable and just old. The pictures on the wall seem updated while the decorative features are so gaudy and outdated. The hotel rooms feel like an old school motel that has not been updated. The tv turned on but every channel is off-line so watching TV was not possible.
The breakfast buffet was unlike other HGI's with dried up meats and overcooked eggs and the only option for fresh cooked eggs was from the a la carte menu in addition to the buffet.
Lastly, while it is convenient to have a restaurant attached to the hotel, UNO's, you cannot charge meals to your room thus, losing Hilton honors points.
This hotel is past its prime, time for an update. I'll be back once the hotel is renovated because the location is great.

This is our 2nd time since Aug that we stayed here. 1st for a baseball & 2nd time hockey which both are close by. We totally enjoyed the stay & the staff were really nice. Katlynn at front desk is amazing. Plus it helped to have UNO right in the same building for an early lunch or late night snack,

Pros: Free early check-in, jacuzzi.
Cons: The bill came to $198 w/tax but nothing is included, except a few keurig cups. Even the bottles of water in the room are $2 each so I drank tap water from the bathroom. Parking is an add'l $15. No bathrobe or slippers to go to and from the pool area.
The front desk staff were fine but sometimes answer the phone "Hello?" instead of "Hilton" or "Front desk," evincing a lack of training.
Worse still was the lack cleanliness. The attached photos were taken when I checked in and show a pubic hair in the bath, a dirty vent in the bathroom, unkempt toilet paper, a wrapper on the floor and stains on the furniture.

Couldn't imagine an experience being any worse. When I tried to check in, they said I didn’t have a reservation. When I showed them my completed reservation with confirmation number, I was informed that they would not honor it. Even though it was already completely paid for online several months prior. Excuses were made and they blamed everyone except themselves for turning me out onto the street. Took my money, didn’t provide a room, and put me on the street. I know they don’t care because one person is meaningless to them. Also, I presume they will respond once again that it wasn’t their fault, and try to put it on me, but facts don’t lie, only they do.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, and I have to say, my experience was far from what I expected from a brand that prides itself on hospitality. As a rewards member, I entered the lobby with high hopes, only to be painfully disappointed by the service I encountered—particularly from the woman at the front desk.
From the moment I approached the check-in counter, I was met with an attitude that screamed indifference. Instead of the warm welcome I anticipated, I was faced with a perfunctory glare and a curt response that set the tone for the entirety of my stay. It was as if my presence was a nuisance rather than a reason to extend a gracious acknowledgment, which is truly unacceptable for a Hilton hotel.
Being a loyal rewards member should come with a certain expectation of service, but this encounter left me scratching my head. Is retraining for staff members who clearly lack basic customer service skills too much to ask? This particular employee not only failed to embody the Hilton standard, but her demeanor was also a poor representation of the hospitality industry as a whole. It was hard not to feel as if I had wandered into a run-down motel rather than a well-respected hotel chain.
I had hoped for some basic niceties—perhaps a smile, a greeting, or even a simple acknowledgment of my rewards status—but instead, I was met with rudeness. If this is what Hilton considers acceptable, they should really reassess who they allow to interact with their guests. It wouldn’t be unreasonable to suggest that this particular employee is better suited for a 15-room roadside motel than a flagship hotel chain.
The problems didn’t stop at check-in. The tone set by the front desk evolved into an overall feeling of being an unwelcome guest throughout my stay. It’s a shame, as Hilton has a legacy of providing quality experiences, but this one employee seemed to carry the weight of ruining what should have been a pleasant visit.
My experience at Hilton was a stark reminder that even well-known brands can falter when it comes to service. I hope that management will look into this issue and take steps to ensure that other guests do not have to endure the same lack of hospitality. For now, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience, and I genuinely hope to see improvements in the future.
