Rooms are nice, great location, quick drive to everything basically. The staff are nice but they're hardly ever at the desk so you have to wait a while sometimes if u need someone.

We arrived and after a long day of festivities in Salem came back to make the bed for the pull out couch and the couch was broken. We went to the front desk and they switched our rooms and there was animal pee on the floor, that was unfortunately found by someone’s bare foot. We went back down to the lobby and they offered us a third room which had water leaking from the kitchen/living room roof on one of the chairs. We went back down and they said there were no other rooms and we would just have to pick between cat pee and a leak. We stayed in the room with a leak and went down to talk to the manager in the morning because we had been chatting with the person on night shift, he was very nice and tried his best, but he couldn’t do much. So we talked to the manager and he started off by telling us all he could do was refund for two of the three night. But here is the thing we went for Halloween in Salem so we used rewards point for booking the trip. Since Halloween is so big in the area they price jacked the hotel, which understood that happens… they refunded our first two nights at the base rate for normal season operations ($250 ish total) and we spent 234,000 points for the stay (well over $1000 in value without searching the exact conversion). Then after talking to the manager about how we were not okay with this solution for like 15 minutes and how we were frustrated because all of the room swapping occurred at about 1 in the morning, he said, “trust me I understand I’ve had to be on the phone with your mom all morning” because my mom called since the booking was under her account. I’m standing there my entire trip pushed back our room still actively leaking, having had to wash animal piss of my feet and he’s complaining that my mom called to asked about how this would be dealt with. He then had the nerve to be like renovations start tomorrow. A different employee suggested I reach out to corporate and made it seem like they new this man was not the most reliable, so I did that. The best they were willing to do was throw in 25,000 miles on the account which is about $120 more. When you book a hotel all you are expecting is a roof over your head and basic cleanliness, nothing more and couldn’t get that for 600 a night!! I asked for the log notes and added them to this for reference.

Room worn but still nice. Breakfast was good. We missed the Evening recpetion (5-6:30pm on Wed) so time it if you want to tale advantage of it. Unfortunately the wifi on our floor (5th) wasn't working and the Hiton Honors was coming from the Hampton Inn across the street. Called multiple times but they were mot able to fix the Internet.
