The staff is excellent, and the rooms are clean and comfortable (if a little dated). A great choice if you are in the Leominster area.

The room is old and doesn’t look that great. It is clean and organized per hotel standard but for the price I did expect something better.
The staffs are nice and welcoming.

The Double Tree by Hilton in Leominster is not the worst place I’ve ever stayed, and in fact is not even that horrible. However, for what it is, it’s wildly overpriced. As a HIlton Honors member staying on one Tuesday night- my total was nearly $180. I see next week the price jumps to over $600- I’m not sure if that's because of an event or holiday travel- but oh my god I would not think about spending anything close to that on this hotel.
The room was shabby. I do think it was cleaned as well as it could be by staff, but furniture was just dingy and the entire room reeked of cheap detergent or air freshener. It was the kind of smell that made my skin itchy and my throat dry. You also can’t crack the windows at all and the heating/cooling system is loud. The bathroom appeared clean but when you started the hot water either the shower head or the tub let off a stale smell. Sometimes the water pressure would cut out briefly (maybe from another room starting their shower or flushing?) The pillows and blankets were used and abused and the walls are thin.
Breakfast is not included and even though there is an indoor pool, you need to make an appointment to use it.
Corporate really needs to update this hotel or reassess the price drastically. The only thing nice about this hotel is the lobby and the staff. I work in the area and have a long commute so I stayed here out of necessity during a snow storm, if I was even moderately happy with accommodations I could’ve stayed here multiple times in the next few months. But I would rather brave the snow or drive an extra couple miles for other accommodation.

Rooms are older and on the small side but clean and perfectly fine for a short stay. The front desk team deserves credit — they were welcoming, responsive, and genuinely helpful.
Where the stay went sideways was the bar, or the bartender. We had a group of about 10 in the bar at the same time as another wedding party. The other party had apparently pre-arranged for the bar to stay open later, but this was never communicated to anyone else in the bar. The bartender told us we could not order another round while allowing the other group to order, with no explanation. It wasn’t the rule that was frustrating — it was the lack of communication and the matter-of-fact, unfriendly way it was delivered.
If we had simply been told, “We’re closed except for a pre-reserved group,” we would have moved without issue. Instead, she waited until we went to order again and said we couldn't... and she was rude when we didn't know the details as she should have communicated them. This was all after her generally slow service, incorrect orders, and where she hadn't checked in on us as well - so it was a layering of issues with her.
By the end, it created tension and discomfort for both groups unnecessarily. And, it took the evening to a place it didn't need to go. All that was needed was proactive communication in a friendly way. Fail.
I completed the hotel survey and was texted that someone would call to discuss, but no one ever followed up — which makes asking for feedback feel performative instead of meaningful. So, figured I'd post here instead.
Great front desk, but bar service and communication need serious improvement. If you have a party staying there, also call amd pre-arrange the bar apparently and ask for a bartender that hopefully wasn't the one we had.
