My otherwise lovely experience was ruined by an off-duty staff member at Memoire - the on-site night club. This individual (a young chap working spa front desk, as I was horrified to learn the next day upon arrival to my appointment) and his catty young friends were unnecessarily aggressive towards me. I was verbally & physically assaulted by this little gang of bullies repeatedly, even after making every attempt to avoid escalation and disengage from their onslaught of aggressions. They even pursued me across the room with their harassment, looking to instigate and incite a situation. Later, when I tried to report this incident to the hotel manager, I was given quite the run-around but finally talked to a “security officer” lady named Fasia face-to-face, after she had previously hung up on me. She was immediately dismissive when “listening” to me and completely devoid of compassion & understanding. She was aggressive in her demeanor and too quick to jump to conclusions, ultimately trying to flip the blame back on me, trying to claim that I was somehow at fault, instead of apologizing, acknowledging my experience, or taking corrective action to provide a better guest experience. When I tried to explain her short-sightedness, she ended up raising her tone-of-voice at me in an aggravated & confrontational manner and then told me that I was no longer welcome set foot on the premises. So I get assaulted & bullied by your staff in your hotel and it’s MY fault?! HA. I will NEVER set foot there again, not even if you paid me. Absolutely NOT worth the emotional & psychological distress it has put me through. I am still reeling at the audacity and presumptuousness this “manager” displayed towards me. I am truly disturbed at Encore’s handling of this incident & their general approach to guest services (or lack thereof). The entire experience was absolutely appalling. I am stunned that a place which claims to provide 5-star service would allow such a thing to happen *and* handle it so poorly. I am shocked and deeply personally offended. I know the truth. This establishment is not a safe space. DO NOT GO HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Do not support Encore. Evidently, they foster a culture of internal cover-ups for employee transgressions, gas-lighting paying guests, bullying, & overall toxicity. I never would’ve given them my business if I had known that this place has NO heart & NO soul.
THIS IS NOT A 5-STAR HOTEL. A 5-star hotel must have 5-star service & this was NOT. **Upper management take note.**

P.s. I should add, the spa treatment was extremely underwhelming too - downright disappointing, in fact. Never before have I paid so much money for such an unsatisfactory massage. Was it intentional? Is the staff all so vindictive & cliquey?? This treatment generated more tension and anxiety than it released. Terrible. Traumatic. Viscerally disconcerting.
There are a few genuine, well-intentioned, courteous professionals who work here too, but unfortunately a few bad eggs spoiled the bunch.
Should I mention that my in-room safe mysteriously stopped working after one use? At the time, I decided to leave my valuables & sensitive personal information unvaulted because I didn’t want to deal with the maintenance call, but in hindsight I now worry that my identity will be stolen or something because clearly the staff - & management - have absolutely no integrity nor moral compass nor respect for their fellow human.
This place has lost my trust and my endorsement. The service standard is completely sub-par and the establishment here is in need of a serious cultural overhaul. Read through some of the other 1-star reviews. Mine was not an isolated or unique incident at Encore. It’s the latest in a pattern; several other similar encounters were reported by guests in recent weeks in the others reviews here, which is just one small sampling of all of the such events that have undoubtedly transpired but went unreported or were swept under the rug. What’s being done to address this endemic festering point-of failure???
Beautifully impressive hotel! We were there on a business trip and our first trip to New England. Walking in we were greeted by the outdoor staff from our taxi. Everyone we encountered at the hotel were very professional and helpful. Our 25th floor room was super clean and smelled new. Our view of the harbor was breathtaking and even more beautiful at nighttime. We walked the grounds the first night we were there. Everything was so perfect and clean. It looked like opening day, every day we were there. I cannot wait to go back already. I have stayed in some really nice hotels before, but no where quite like the Encore. The Atrium is just stunning from the floor to the ceiling. Impressive is an understatement! If going to Boston or in the area, I definitely recommend at least one night here. I know it's a casino but we only went in that area to grab a quick bite as we don't gamble. We loved all the shops at the hotel too.

I am here but am leaving now. "Gary" was very rude at the entrance. I have a feeling he treated me like this because of the color of my skin. It's twice in Boston a weird incident has happened like this. I didn't know people were racist like this and again I have a feeling it has to do with the color of my skin. Even people passing were a little shocked at his attitude. One look at "Gary" and I'm surprised he is employed at a place that requires at the very least average customer service. Shame on you Encore for employing him and putting him in a spot where he has to interact with the public. Me and family were also gonna stay a couple nights but after how Gary treated me we decided to take my business elsewhere.

Luxury Stay at Encore Boston Harbor — Beautiful Hotel, Great Casino, Amazing Service
I recently stayed at Encore Boston Harbor and it’s easily one of the most luxurious hotels in Boston. The entire property is stunning from the elegant lobby and high-end shops to the spacious rooms with incredible views. The casino is lively, clean, and full of energy, offering everything from slots to table games in a truly upscale environment.
I had dinner at Seamark Restaurant and recommend the crab cakes. The service throughout the hotel and restaurant was top notch, with friendly staff who make the experience feel special.
Breakfast was good, but I’ll be honest, I was a little disappointed compared to the level of excellence everywhere else. Still a solid meal, just not as impressive as the rest of the dining options.
Overall, Encore Boston Harbor is a must-visit if you're looking for a luxury hotel and casino experience in Boston. Perfect for a weekend getaway, special occasion, or anyone who enjoys beautiful spaces and great service.

Encore is one of those places where even when you get crushed at the tables, you still walk out saying you had a great time. I sat down at roulette and immediately got caught in one of the most absurd streaks I’ve ever witnessed — the wheel hit green twice and black five times in a row, not a single red in sight. For context, the odds of that exact combination happening are around 0.14%, or about 1 in 721 spins. Naturally, I was on red the entire run, so I donated seven straight bets to the casino in record time.
Even with the cold streak, the night was still a blast. The dealers kept the table light and fun, cocktail service was quick, and the whole casino has that polished, upscale feel that makes the experience enjoyable regardless of luck. The place is spotless, the crowd is lively, and the energy on the floor always feels upbeat without being overwhelming.
Sure, the wheel demolished me — but it was so statistically ridiculous that it turned into a good story. Encore remains one of the best spots around for a night out, win or lose.
