I stayed at the Freepoint Hotel Cambridge July 12-14 2024 in Room 211. This hotel was clean, comfortable and served its purpose. My concern is the lack of customer service from the front desk. I was able to charge my dinner and breakfast to my room. I was never asked for an ID or checked to make sure my name was registered to the room. Freepoint Hotel Cambridge had no problems taking my money. Anyone could come into this hotel, eat meals, and randomly charge them to rooms claiming to be a guest at the hotel. However, when I accidentally locked myself out of my room, I went to the front desk to get a key. I was denied a key because my name was not on the reservation. My husband was out shopping with his family and the room was registered under his name. This was of great inconvenience to me because I was not able to get into my room. I was disrespected and treated like a criminal. They thought I was going to go into a room that was not mine and steal things. This hotel is not respectful and has terrible customer service. There is also a mistrust of customers unless it comes to spending money because this of course profits this hotel and that is the only goal of this hotel. If you are looking for friendly customer service, stay away from this hotel!

I am a Diamond level visitor at Hilton's around the country. The Tapestry Collection hotels are usually some of the best. This hotel did not fall into this category. The rooms were old and outdated. The restaurant didn't have cooked breakfast, just buffet style with fake eggs. The bar wasn't open so couldn't have drinks with co-workers. Their suggestion was to go behind the hotel to the liquor store. Very disappointing hotel, I will not return when back in the area.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. Past reviews are not great, as you can see. I don't know if there's been a management change or if they actually pay attention to their reviews, but the property was clean and well-maintained, the staff were very helpful, and the location was great. It's ten minutes' walk to Alewife station and is surrounded by shops and restaurants, including grocery stores and a pharmacy. If I come back to Cambridge, I'll be back here.

This place is absolutely discusting. Bugs all over the hallway when we arrived. I asked if they could clean it, was trying to be nice about it. They did nothing. I checked out the next morning and was told i could get a refund because of conditions. This was in July. I am still fighting to get the money back. I had to go buy another hotel because i did not want to stay here.
The best part was they responded saying they did a full inspection for bed bugs and were told there were none, so that is why i am not getting a refund. I never once said anything about bed bugs, it was more, oh idk the roaches everywhere.
It is so crazy that large corporations can just do this to people without consequences over and over. Its $400 you look so pathetic. You are a billion dollar company..
