The Hampton Inn Slidell hotel is 30 miles from New Orleans, Louisiana centrally located between New Orleans and Bay St. Louis. Our three story 82 room hotel is equipped with hair dryers, coffeemakers and voicemail. Our hotel also features 23 king studies with refrigerators and microwave. You can dine nearby at China Buffet or within two miles at Applebee's, Copeland's or Cracker Barrel.
Hotel amenities at our Louisiana Hampton Inn include complimentary continental breakfast, in-room iron/ironing board, coffeemaker, hair dryer and TV with cable. We also offer connecting rooms, cribs, exercise gym, and outdoor pool. Meeting/banquet facilities are available for a nominal fee.

I have never had an issue with Hilton hotels and was a previous Diamond member however while the staff was awesome the room was HORRIBLE. Nothing like the rooms I saw online and the reviews were good as well but the room smelt like chemicals and mold. In the bathroom there was obvious water damage with the wall starting to separate. The worst was the carpet. I actually stepped on a wet spot of I have not idea what and after washing my feet the towel turned brown. It was so gross. I had been traveling, not feeling well and extremely tired so I didn't leave but really though hard about going another hotel. I paid $160 for one night here and my expectations were not met. Hilton Corporate....I hope you see this PLEASE renovate this hotel. Hats off to the employees...they were great but they can only work with what they are given. Stayed in Room 101 on 10/18/25.

The staff were friendly, always smiling, and greeted us every morning. The first night the fire alarm went off around 2:30 a.m., but the staff were very apologetic and handled it well. Breakfast was great—my husband loved the omelettes with peppers and the chocolate Belgian waffles. I really liked the bright bathroom lighting (perfect for makeup!) and the great water pressure in the shower, plus you can adjust the nozzle settings. Coffee is always available near the elevator, and they even put out cookies in the evening. Clean, comfortable, and super chill—we’d definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to the Hilton standard. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable musty odor in both the lobby and my room. The front desk staff was unfriendly and even seemed irritated when guests asked simple questions, which set a poor first impression. To make matters worse, the fire alarm strobe light was flashing all night, and the alarm went off in the middle of the night. A flashing light is a clear indicator of a maintenance issue, so the staff should have been aware of the potential problem and addressed it beforehand. Overall, this experience was far below what I’ve come to expect from Hilton. If you’re looking for a place to stay in this area, I would recommend choosing another hotel.

The hotel has a nice staff, the rooms were good and the rest was great. Not much more I could ask for. The pool was a nice relaxing time, it gave us a chance to hang out when not working. The parking lot is big and there's a car rental business next door. There are gas stations and food nearby. Doordash was nice as well. I would recommend this hotel for business stays and had a good experience here. Thank you Hampton Inn Slidell.
