    The entire staff here is like a big family, their interactions with you is why you will revisit this location, I had an issue when I was checking in and was advised that Ms Morine will resolve it in the morning and she did. Awesome service.

    The hotel was easy to find. The ladies at the front desk during check in and check out were both very friendly. The first thing we noticed upon exiting the elevator was the 2nd floor hallway was about 90 degrees. The ice machine was standing in water. Our room was set at 61 degrees, and felt like it. The room for the lady traveling with us was hot because the AC was turned OFF. The furniture in the rooms, bed included, could stand to be replaced. The breakfast was basically NON-EXISTENT. We went at 8 AM. (Breakfast is supposed to be served 6-10). There was maybe 1 spoon of eggs, about 10 pieces of potato, almost no Grits, no brown sugar, 3 containers of yogurt, no cups for juice or water...we had to go up to the front and get coffee cups to use. They were not busy, so there was no excuse for everything to be empty. The woman who was supposed to be taking care of it wandered through Several times but made no move to fill anything. Several people came in after we did. I'm not sure what they did for breakfast. If you decide to stay here, make sure you find an alternative place to have breakfast. The Free Breakfast is worth exactly what you pay for it!

    I want to take a moment to recognize two incredible employees at Hampton Inn in Opelousas — Alicia Guillory and Felicia — who continuously go above and beyond to make every stay exceptional. On my last visit, after a long drive from Texas, I arrived to find the hotel overbooked. Despite having a reservation, I was told there were no rooms available. Understandably frustrated, I expressed my concern — and that’s when Alicia stepped in. Even though she was off the clock, she came to the hotel to personally ensure I had a room. That kind of dedication is rare. Alicia is truly a jewel to Hampton Inn — her warm spirit and commitment to service are unmatched. Another shining star is Felicia, who is consistently professional, kind, and attentive. She's a hard worker who always ensures that we have everything we need. Her friendliness and attention to detail make guests feel welcomed and valued. Both Alicia and Felicia treat guests like family, and their hospitality is the reason this is the only hotel I will stay in when visiting Opelousas. Hampton Inn is lucky to have such remarkable employees representing their brand with excellence. Thank you both for making every stay so rewarding!
