Worst experience, the manager was rude pointed in our face said we only complained to get money back. The heat didnt work, he gave us extra blanket and turned thermostat off since it only blew AC. Then bugs were actively crawling in tub and bathroom. He sprayed them but said they never seen those bugs there before. Never offered to switch us room. Never apologized , literally told me to step outside cause I could ruin his reputation. I never raised my voice. I walked away in tears. I have all the pictures!!! It nice on outside but its hell behind those walls because he doesn't respect women. If a man was present he would have never presented that tone or unprofessionalism towards us.

DO NOT STAY AT HOTEL THEO in New Orleans. This place is a mess, poorly run and overbooked. We stayed for 3 nights during the week of New Years and booked a one bedroom suite months in advance. When we arrived with our 3 young kids, we were told that the suite was not available and the best they could do was two rooms that were next to each other (but not adjoining).
On the first night, we made it clear this was not a great solution, the front desk staff didn't seem to really care. We reached out to corporate to see if they could help and they said we should expect a call from the General Manager.
We heard nothing from anyone at Hotel Theo the next day and, to top it off, returned to the room that evening to discover that the staff hadn't cleaned it. We reached out to corporate again and they assured us that the GM would reach out the next day as they were pressing him to get our actual room ready. Emmanuel, the GM, did leave a message the next afternoon but never responded to our return call. The room we booked was never provided to us.
In addition to not having the rooms that we reserved and paid for available and not seeming to care at all, the hotel is just not great:
-the hotel itself is tired and looks like new paint was slapped onto an old building;
-one of the two elevators was broken most of our stay;
-the gym was out of service our whole stay. There was a note on the website that pass to another local job were available but these were not offered to us;
-the windows do not meet modern safety expectations, they are single paned glass mere inches from the floor, if someone falls into it, they will likely go through it.
We generally stay at Marriotts (Hotel Theo is part of the Hilton brand) and in my experience, Marriott handles issues like ours with much more care and emphasis on doing the right thing. We will likely stick with Marriott hotels going forward.

We spent a week with our family at this hotel. Upon arrival, we encountered a problem with the hot water in our suite. They moved us to a standard room and offered me compensation equivalent to the valet parking fee ($45 per day), which amounted to approximately $300 by the time we checked out. However, my total bill came to nearly $600, which already included the valet parking and additional unexplained charges. Despite several follow-up emails, I have received neither a refund nor any response from them.
Besides this issue, the housekeeping service was terrible, and the bedding was very old and uncomfortable. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

A very bad experience at this hotel. We booked a family suite with our two children. The day after our arrival, we realized there was no hot water in the room. The hotel told us it wasn't a big deal and that we could take a shower like that. After witnessing the situation, they offered to move us to another room, not a suite, without any compensation. The housekeeping service was ineffective. The rooms are old and often overlook a wall. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.
Room was very clean, the bed sheets and pillows were nice. I valet parked and the attendant was very accommodating with loading and unloading. I watched Malcom take care of two other guests and he was really great with exceeding their expectations. I asked Malcom for a recommendation on food. He gave me a recommendation and I headed up to drop off our luggage. As I am exiting he flags me down to let me know he called the restaurant and they would be closing early. He was able to give me a second recommendation and gave me a menu and directions. I was impressed that with a busy lobby he made time to confirm the restaurant was open. We need more people in the world like Malcom. I hope Hilton is exceeding his expectations the way he is exceeding their/his customers. Thanks to Malcom, I will definitely be returning to The Theo Hotel!
