I loved my time at the Hilton Riverside! New Orleans is beautiful and the room (we were on the 23rd floor) had a gorgeous view of one of the bridges crossing the Mississippi. I was highly satisfied by the service of Brandon Green, who warmly greeted me and my partner at the Hilton Group Vacation desk and made us feel at ease. We ended up buying a 5-day package because he made it make sense. He also was very friendly, giving us amazing food recommendations that we took and loved. 5-star service for sure!

Upon arrival it was clear this hotel is a glorified conference center and not the Hilton experience i was hoping for. Getting to my floor and finding trays of room service sitting in hallway and laundry cart slinging the hallway at 2:30 should have also been a clue. But close to French Quarter so hopefully would be ok for the price you pay. Got to the room and went to take a shower and black water gushed from the faucet. Waited it out and it finally cleared. Went to use the bathroom sink and steaming hot water came out from both taps. No cold water. So i got to pack, again, take my stuff to the front desk and move to another room. Not the Hilton experience I was hoping for on my vacation. But dont worry some breakfast coupons make it all better for the money you spent on the room right? My advice. Look elsewhere. This hotel seems run down and great for conferences, but doesn’t live up to the standard of what I would consider a Hilton Hotel. Would not book again here.

Stayed at this Hilton hotel for a week while attending a conference nearby. Unfortunately, I experienced multiple unexplained losses of personal belongings, which raises serious concerns about the hotel’s security. On Monday, items that I had placed on the desk in the room went missing, including my AirPods Pro and a small gym band stored in a velvet pouch. Later, I realized that my Maui Jim sunglasses, which I had taken out of my backpack on Sunday night and also placed on the desk, were gone as well. Even more concerning, I later discovered that items stored inside my suitcase — a computer mouse and its hard case — had also disappeared. I did not notice this until packing to leave. In addition, my roommate’s Sony headphones went missing during the same stay. We reported the incidents to the hotel’s security center, but the response and follow-up so far have been slow and unhelpful, and we have not received any meaningful explanation. Given the number of items, the multiple guests affected, and the fact that belongings disappeared both from visible surfaces and from inside luggage, this stay was extremely unsettling. I would strongly advise future guests to be very cautious with their belongings. Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience at a Hilton Hotels property.

My entire family recently attended a family wedding in NOLA and stayed at the Riverside Hilton. I was at the reception desk to obtain an additional key and as left the desk I asked a Hilton employee Hannah T for directions to the mall. She was very helpful and also asked if I would be interested in the Hilton promotion. She was very polite and thorough. I was very impressed with her polite and professional demeanor. I told that she should continue with her marketing and sales career. Best wishes a blessed Holiday. Rich Z

The front desk check-in experience at this hotel was, without exaggeration, the most sluggish and procrastinated I have encountered. There were only two counters, yet the staff appeared to treat check-in as a leisure activity rather than a basic operational task. The clerk would process a guest briefly, then pause to chat with colleagues, wander off to other areas, and generally disengage—repeating this cycle continuously. On average, each check-in seemed to involve multiple rounds of casual conversation and unnecessary walking, with actual work being the least frequent activity. The queue itself was very short—just a few guests—yet the waiting time exceeded 30 minutes, and in my case approached nearly one hour. This pace was reminiscent of the sloth scene in Zootopia: technically moving, but functionally stalled. If I sound overly detailed, it’s only because I had ample time to observe every inefficiency while standing there waiting. Unless the hotel considers waiting itself part of the vacation experience, this level of front-desk inefficiency is simply unacceptable.
