The king beds are not American king beds, they are much smaller, by at least 10 inches, and called "european kings" and this is not disclosed online or at any point before check-in, which is ethically wrong. I called the front desk believing I got the wrong room because it appeared to be a queen bed. This is when I was told this hotel provides smaller "european king beds" which are only a few inches bigger than queen beds. This was a significant disappointment for my vacation. King beds are a luxury I do not have at home, and I spend extra money to spring for a king bed on vacations. This was no smaller matter for me.
Additionally, The reality of the room vs. the pictures online is upsetting. It looked so cute, well designed and well kept online, but in person the rooms are in rough shape. Worse than any room I've ever stayed in in Vegas, which is also a party city. Stains in carpet, water stains and damage to furniture, stains on white ceiling. Pillows are 75% air and very uncomfortable. Top cover of bed is coarse and uncomfortable. Would not stay here again and would not recommend it.
The good things: proximity to the french quarter and all hot spots of town, good customer service in hotel and valet, the soaps and lotions smelled nice, and got a good price.

Perfect location for exploring the French Quarter. Staff was very welcoming and the rooftop pool is amazing! Two complaint however. First, the elevators can be incredibly slow and you can wait up to 10 minutes to get into one. Second, the AC unit in our room made an extremely loud noise every 5 minutes. We mentioned it to the front desk but no one could figure out why it was doing it so we had to turn the AC unit off altogether. However g we would come back to this location in the future.

Been stuck in the elevator for over an hour, after the building was aware of issues with Elevator 3 since the morning. Caused us to miss the conference dinner we flew in from Chicago for. Still stuck as of posting this, this is terrifying and terrible.

The gentleman at reception desk was super nice for giving me a free bottle of smart water, and I was able to check in early once my room was ready. Unlike the lady I was dealing with at doubletree nyc downtown who being extremely rude and refuse to let me check in early despite other people who I assumed are not even members were literally checking in. Room was nice as well.
