The hotel is nice, the receptionist are kind but the valet parking service is not great we do not recommend it. They don’t offer any help with the luggage they just rush you, and make mean comments about you.

Hotel is in a great location in a historic building. It's beginning to show its age and wear. Rooms are okay but could definitely use an upgrade. Local franchise owner doesn't seem to care much for Hilton Honor members unless you're Diamond: no recognition, no free water, nothing. Hilton's website says regarding the benefits of Silver Members: "Free bottled water - Get two free bottles of water when you arrive (at select hotels)." They charged me $3.50/each for a bottle of water that cost them less than thirty cents. Trust me, this is not a "select hotel". Unlikely that we'll stay here again.

After travelling for 7 weeks across USA and Canada, I can safely say this hotel was the WORST experience in terms of service. Especially the woman serving in the breakfast room. I have never been treated so rudely in all my life. Looking for a staff member to refill the milk, she ignored my question as to whether she worked there and when I asked a second time, she said, ‘No.’ We had no body wash in the shower dispenser so asked at the front desk for it to be refilled. The staff there didn’t even look up from their embroidering to respond. Body wash was refilled but the container didn’t work. We also had no shampoo. New Orleans was a great disappointment and I don’t recommend visiting. Sadly, this hotel didn’t improve our sentiments.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights in December 2025 (Room 604). The location is convenient, with easy access to many parts of the city, and the room itself was spacious. Unfortunately, the service was the worst I have experienced in any hotel. I have traveled extensively across many countries and cities, and this stay was exceptionally disappointing. Housekeeping is advertised as being provided every other day. On my second day (assuming no service on the first day), I returned to my room around 5 pm and found that it had not been serviced. After contacting the front desk, housekeeping staff came to my room and I was asked to leave the room so it could be cleaned. Even after service was completed, the room was missing basic items such as hand soap and extra toilet paper. On the first day, there were no pens or paper in the room, which are typically provided by most hotels. When I contacted the front desk, the staff were rude and repeatedly insisted that these items were already in the room. Eventually, I was told to come downstairs, as no one was available to bring them to my room. When I went to the front desk, I was given a pen and a very small, partially used notebook. When I requested another one, I was told no. My company booked the room and provided a company credit card on file. Despite this, the hotel incorrectly charged my personal credit card. My company contacted the hotel on the second day and the issue was corrected for some of us (we were part of a group booking)- except for me, this caused me unnecessary stress and a complicated reimbursement process. Some of my colleagues experienced issues with their room key cards not working and were left standing in the hallway. As a result, I had to cancel business obligations and return to the hotel to accommodate them in my room while the staff resolved the issue. Overall, while the location and room size were acceptable, the poor service, lack of professionalism, and repeated operational failures made this stay extremely frustrating.

After reading reviews was what made me want to stay here but after my recent stay this weekend I don't know if I would stay again. The date of check in, I received notification the hotel was trying to run a payment when I was told at booking I could pay at the time of check-in. Thank GOD I called back and allowed them to run the card for payment bc like others who was checking in was told the same thing and once they got to the hotel their rooms was cancelled. The staffed was confused and did not have a clue how to handle the situation. Second, staff was not friendly or helpful. We were told at check-in, rooms are cleaned every other day. We check-in on Friday and our room was never cleaned, even after we called the first desk after 5PM on Sunday requesting our room to be cleaned. Eventually I called and asked if we could get some clean towels and was able to get that. Our heat stopped working, we called for someone to come up and fix that and that didn't happen. We figured it out on our own but not before my friend got sick. In closing the location was amazing but I just wasn't impressed with the hotel itself. I am a Marriott fan by heart but decided to give the Hampton Inn a try and should have went with my first mind. I hope this helps other and don't be fool by website pictures and other reviews.
