The room size is great. The staff when we checked in was friendly. Good coffee and breakfast spread. Good hotel gym. I booked directly with Hilton but it feels like I got deceived and booked with an indirect booking company. My room was nothing like the pictures. The door doesn’t close properly unless you slam it a few times and loudly. The bath tub doesn’t drain properly. The in room safe doesn’t work bc it’s low on battery. Some of the outlets in the room don’t work. There are stains on the windows. The carpet is sticky. The drawers are all dirty inside. The location at night is not safe to walk around alone never mind with young kids. Overall it was just very disappointing. We have stayed with the Hampton Inn in many other cities and this was just disappointing.

The best combination of price, cleanliness, amenities, and location I have found in NoLa. Breakfast was included each day, the building was locked and felt secure at night. The staff we interacted with were all friendly. I would definitely recommend this Hampton Inn if trying to stay within a tight budget on your trip.

We received disparate treatment compared to other guests. Upon checkin, as Hilton Honors Members, the front desk is supposed to provide us with a complimentary bottle of water. When we stay at other Hiltons, the front desk automatically provides that at check-in, without even asking. However, at this hotel, the front desk worker, Austin, did not provide anything. Then, when we inquired about it, Austin, reluctantly handed us a bottle of water and appeared extremely annoyed. In contrast, when another Hilton Honors member checked in, the front desk automatically gifted them a white bag with a bottle of water plus their choice of snack. Moreover, when we had a question regarding checkin time, Austin said he did not know the answer and he handed us the hotel business card and instructed us to call the front desk. Being that we are already standing at the front desk with Austin manning it, we asked again if he could help us. He reiterated that he would not help us and instructed us to call the number for the hotel front desk. Absolutely ridiculous! Even more ridiculous is that in addition to Austin standing behind the front desk, there were 2 African-American employees behind the front desk. Austin refused to even ask either of those 2 women to assist us. His only resolution was to leave, take the business card, and call the very front desk that everyone is already standing at. Realizing how inept Austin is and how he would not help at all, we left. We called the number on the business card, wherein, none of those 3 employees picked up the phone. Seriously, I'm convinced that this is how Austin offloads every customer that he had no knowledge to help. In addition, the wifi did not work at all. When we notified the front desk, they advised us the entire hotel has no service and there is nothing they can do about it. Of course... silly of us to think that they could be of any help. They did not even comp us for the inconvenience of and lack of an advertised service. Not having wifi was extremely disruptive for important work-related business. We were disapointed to discover that the bathtub shower was badly clogged. One was quickly ankle-deep in water after running the shower for just a few moments. We ended up just continually turning off the water, just to let the water drain (which took forever), then turning water back on to rinse off. The breakfast was interesting. One day they served thin slices of hotdogs for breakfast. Apparently real sausage is expecting too much. By way of comparison, we can eat better and get an entire hotdog and unlimited soda for $1.50 at Costco. We paid several hundred dollars each night for this hotel, and even paid extra for an upgrade suite. Instead they gave us 1 room, with no suite. The location is not great. Immediately adjacent to the hotel are several groups of homeless people. We had a bona fide fear of being jumped...and we are well-aware front desk will not help. All part of the hospitality at this hotel. Worst experience ever!

5 Stars but not perfect Every channel on the TV says that information about the program is unavailable. The remote is slow to switch so when switching to the next channel it's easy to overshoot If there's a commercial on, oh well, you can't tell what's on there. (boo) The heat turns on once in a while for five seconds and rund very quietly (yay!). But prior to the heat turning on there's an audible click followed by a loud sound of putting a metal lid on a metal pot (boo). Scrambled eggs on Monday's breakfast were the best I've had in about 30 hotels these past 40 days. Moist and warm (yay!) but on Wednesday, it was easy over eggs, I think, and they were inedible (boo) Location is wonderful (yay) but the line of men hanging around at night in the dark on the sidewalk near the hotel are sketch. That's the direction to take when walking to/from Bourbon St. (boo) Bourbon Street is only a two block walk away (yay). My room has a view of the back of two buildings with what looks like huge ventilation openings (boo). But the room is very quiet (yay). Service and valet are excellent. (Hurray!)

The hotel is good, clean and well located on the city. Service could be improved. I requested early in the morning to do the room housekeeping for that day and refilling the lotion and shampoo cans. The receptionist informed me that usually they take the housekeeping orders placed one day in advance, but he told me that he could get my order for that same date. When I arrived to the hotel in the night of that day, neither the room housekeeping was done nor the refilling of the lotion and shampoo. I had yo call receptionist on the night to get at least the lotion and the shampoo. Considering the price paid for the room, the service must be given more diligently. The hotel is not bad, but the service must be improved.
