We stayed at the Hampton Inn for 2 nights. Overall, the experience was positive with a few notable exceptions. • Location: Excellent—walking distance to the French Quarter, streetcar stops, and the riverfront. • Service: Friendly and responsive staff. I’d rate it 9/10. • Breakfast: Surprisingly good and extensive. Definitely a 10/10. • Gym: Clean, well-maintained equipment and a quiet space to work out. • Room Cleanliness: Unfortunately, we encountered small cockroaches in the bathroom. We caught and disposed of a few ourselves. This was disappointing and should be addressed by management.

We greatly enjoyed our stay, and the biggest reason for that was the excellent customer service delivered by Front Office Director Reginald Delmore! His attention to detail, warmth, friendliness, accommodations, patience, calmness, peace, generosity, orientation to solutions, local knowledge, and humanity were above and beyond! We would gladly return and stay again if we knew we could count on Reginald being there. We also particularly appreciated the above-average included breakfast as well as the reliable 24-hour coffee and hot water/tea (with honey!) available in the lobby. The lobby snack shop with some fresh and frozen entrees was great to have after restaurants had closed for the night. The charm and ambiance of the interiors was a great added bonus as well. The location was not super near our preferred activities, though most of our activities were within about a 10-15 minute Lyft/Uber ride, and those fares were usually $10-$15 on average. It would have been nice to have more shops, restaurants, public transit, and preferred walking areas nearby. One might see the upside as being more of a peaceful retreat away from a lot of the noise and hustle and bustle in other parts of town.

Good location for what we needed. Parking situation is a bit confusing if you’re not doing valet. We opted for parking in a separate lot that’s right behind the hotel. It was just easier for us. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They check on you via text throughout your stay which I thought was a nice touch. Hotel rooms were nice and clean. Overall, we had a great stay here and would definitely come back.
