This hotel is located close to everything. We were going on a cruise, the hotel is less than a mile from the port. Walking distance to French quarter and downtown less than a mile.

Can't get closer to the convention center. The room was clean and comfortable. However most days the shower was freezing cold. Almost unusable. Which is weird because faucet on the sink was fine. I reported it to front desk who said they would have maintenance look at it, but it never got better. Bathtub drained ridiculously slow so I showered in a couple of inches of water. Always a no-no when avoiding athletes foot. Housekeeping only came when I asked front desk to make sure they stopped by. Shower gel was empty on day one and never refilled. We were on vacation, so none of this was overly challenging, but if I was on business it would have been a problem. Breakfast was run well. Lots of options including proteins, and the coffee never ran out. Would have been a poor choice if not for the location. Mediocre.

Rooms not ready after 4pm, but received free upgrade to ready one. Room clean. Bed comfy. Within walking distance to many things. Free shuttle to cruise port and free hot breakfast. Lobby under construction so checking done at table, long wait.toilet clogged but maintenance sent quickly. Overall worth the price.

This hotel was fine, rooms were ok decent size, had everything we needed. Service was Meh... the staff at reception basically going for minimum requirements, like didn't do bad but weren't good. Breakfast was wild the first 2 days SOOOO many people it was nuts but our last day it was pleasant, food was ok the kids loved the waffles but that was the longest line. Location is good for convention centre, bit of walk to get to French quarter etc, it was a nice walk along the waterfront but had to Uber back as didn't want to walk both ways. Overall a decent hotel the Valet parking seemed pricey and took awhile but we never used it. Laundry was very good and the gym was decent to use while traveling.

Great pre cruise hotel. I did take a star away cause there is current construction that I was not aware of when I booked. The front desk is a large table covered with a black cloth. Now with that said it was a super nice stay and my only real complaint is out door kept sticking and we had to make sure it shut everytime we left and was a struggle to open at times. The room itself was nice, clean, and roomy. We had a king bed on the 8th facing the interstate, so view wasn't the best, but that was fine foe our one night stay. Bathroom is clean and roomy also. Plenty of storage and power outlets. Location is great. We parked at Fulton Street parking garage and the hotel is about a block walk away. Cute little bar only 2 blocks away. I will likely stay here again for my next cruise. We love Hampton Inns.
