Great use of an old building. Nice atmosphere and decor. Room was tight but nice. Enjoyed evening drinks with the friendly, attentive bar tender, Bishop. We were not able to enjoy breakfast because the restaurant did not have the wait staff to serve us. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Beautiful new hotel. Rooms are a bit tight, but nice. Everything is clean. The staff was incredibly hospitable and welcoming, especially Bishop. Both front desk attendants were delightful. True Mississippi hospitality in Louisiana. It was our last stop on a ten day road trip. As a busy real estate agent in Birmingham, Alabama who is always on call even on vacation, this was a great place to rest. Our only complaint is that we couldnโt enjoy breakfast because there was only one waitress trying to serve the entire place. We went elsewhere for food. Highly recommend.

Not what I expected, the air in the first room did not blow cold so we switched to another room that blew slightly cold. The Aesthetics look cool on the surface but I have stayed in better for less. It's like it's trying to pretend to be something that it is not, i have stayed in many hotels that can live up to the hype this one sadly did not. The parking is also sketchy to pay on top of the room for basic unsecured parking lot.

What a magical stumble upon!
We were in town visiting for the holidays and Mother In Law had heard good things about the hotel but hadn't yet visited. She said, "We should drive by." I said, "We should stop in." Well, due to the Queen of Hospitality Jasmine at the front desk, our "stop in" turned into a VIP experience.
She was THE friendliest and most welcoming! Shared history about the hotel, showed us the exquisite spaces from the rooftop to the ballroom to the meeting rooms to the guest rooms, answered all our questions about stays and private events, and was the best Christmas gift we could've gotten! We were treated like royalty. When we complimented the decor โ delightful blend of history and updates โ she shared about the owners, including how wonderful they are to work for. As a small business owner myself, who cares about supporting and patronizing businesses with inclusive, ethical, positive culture, this was lovely to hear.
Our favorite moment was Jasmine telling us how good the water was and us all passing a cup around exclaiming (honestly), "Oh gosh, this IS good water!" Father in law even went back for seconds.
If you have an employee of the month, we nominate Jasmine! She's the quintessential poster child of what hospitality should look like. ๐๐ฝ ๐๐ฝ ๐๐ฝ
The interior design made me want to get married a second time (to my current husband, of course).
Great job, team! Thank you, Jasmine!

This hotel has a lot of potential. They for sure got the aesthetics down. However, no guest wants to stay in a hotel room without being able to control the thermostat. Called several times and front desk although very nice could not get a hold of the person who changes the setting front heat to AC in each room. The fan was not working. It was a long unrestful night.
The shower floor is flushed with the bathroom which means water just goes everywhere. After using towel to dry up floor you have to place them on top of the sink. There is no hooks. Bathroom floor was not completely cleaned from previous stay.
There are many parking lot beside and across the building. I find it odd that guests have to walk across a train track to park. A disaster waiting to happen.
Our kids loved the Christmas tree and box of ornaments in our room. The place is a very beautiful place, but if they donโt pay attention into the stuff that truly matters I donโt see their star rating going up.
