The room needs lots of attention. Our toilet ran the whole time, we had to hold the handle to keep it from running. The bathroom doors need some painting & work. Karla was absolutely wonderful. She was so accommodating & friendly! Give her a raise!

If you're looking for a place to actually rest and sleep- this is NOT it.
When I was checking in, a man was asking the front desk for a new room because "the door to his room fell off the hinges". After getting to my room, I could totally see how he was probably exactly right. The doors are not aligned in the frames so opening and closing them is loud and requires force. That's the case for most of the doors I think. This means that any time any room opens or closes their door on your floor- it's LOUD and everyone hears it. So... That goes on at all hours.
The walls are so thin that I got to enjoy my neighbors having the time of their lives all night and morning. I'm happy for them, seriously.
Maybe I'm jealous... Idk.
I'm a Hilton honors member and I'd say this room is standard for Hampton Inn but OMG with these pillows. They smoosh down to nothing. Thank goodness it was just me and I could use all 4 of them on the bed but even still- it sucked.
This is the kind of hotel that isn't openly "dirty" but... But it's definitely the kind where you Never use the ice machines because I assure you- they're not clean.
I paid about $150 for this one night so... It's not even like this was super cheap.
Overall- the noise and doors and pillows are the main complaint.
There are tons of options... Choose one that isn't here.

ROACHES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
We stayed die 2 nights. Room #1 : hairs all over the sheet in the bed, TV broken. They did give us a new rooms with no problem.
Room #2 : we were awaken at 6:30am by loud music from a room down the hall . Music played until 8am. Hotel has very thin walls.
Next House keeper came and asked us if we needed anything and we told her towels . She said she didn’t have any towels with her. What kind of house keeper doesn’t have towels. She said she would bring them back. We left for several house and came back. No one ever came back! Bed were not made, trash wasnt taken out and of course no clean towels.
We paid over $300 for 2 night … this is NOT a motel … this is a HOTEL… these are basic task for any hotel. We had to go to the front desk and request towels because when we tried to call… THE PHONE WAS NOT WORKING.
And the worst part is all!!!! I’m sitting on the chair and a roach comes crawling out! YUCK!!! You know if you see 1… there are 1000 others hiding. Makes me wonder what’s in the kitchen when the light go out.
I informed the staff and here are the options I was offered: 1) have the engineer come to spray the room with an unknown chemical.
Why would I want this in a tiny room with minimal ventilation ?
2) move rooms for the 2nd time. Ridiculous.
If my message wasn’t clear … I absolutely would NOT recommend! I’ve stayed in less expensive hotels that had less issues.

This Hampton Inn in Metairie, LA is hands-down one of the worst Hilton properties I’ve ever dealt with. The attendant Carla, who claims to be the hotel manager has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed. She acts as if she does not want guests staying there, and she has tried more than once to stop my family from checking in.
This time, my son arrived before me to check in while I was still at the job site. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Carla went out of her way to be rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. She tried everything she could to prevent him from checking in, even though we stay with Hilton constantly and have never had a problem at any other location. Her attitude was nasty, unwelcoming, and completely unprofessional.
To make matters worse, the hotel itself is not even worth the headache. The room smelled like mildew, the property looks worn-down, and nothing about it reflects the Hilton standards we’re used to.
I will never stay at this location again. If Carla is truly the manager, Hilton seriously needs to reconsider who they put in leadership. Guests deserve better than this attitude and this outdated, musty.
