Worst Hampton I’ve ever stayed in. Elevator wasn’t working and the place had a faint odor of sewage in my room. Five of my coworkers smelled the same thing and had worse experiences. One coworker had hairs on his bedsheets and dead bugs on the floor. They moved him to another room which also had hairs on the sheets. We all made reservations for another hotel and left the next morning. When we got to work that day, several other coworkers who stayed there complained of the same issues and found other places to stay. The biggest issue we had was that everyone of us got overcharged for our rooms. We all reserved our rooms at the government rate since we contract for the government on government business, and those rates weren’t honored. There’s about 50-60 of us here at Fort Polk this week and returning for a 2 week stay later this month. NONE of us will be staying in this hotel. Hopefully, Hilton can fix this place.

This is a terrible place to stay. It smelled of mold, there was always water on the floor in the lobby, the elevator was broken. The rooms were in need of maintenance. The only thing I can say is that the AC worked really well. It felt like a hotel going out of business. By far the worst Hilton/Hampton experience I have ever had.

I am honestly worried I may have cancer after staying here for the week. The smell of this place will haunt my dreams for years. Without other alternatives, some will be forced to stay here. If that is you, the one good thing you will take with you are the stories of survival you will earn.

I have never left a hotel due to cleanliness, this was a first, and I am on the road 8moths out of the year.
I will start with the smell when you walk in. Imagine a house flooded 6 months ago and they never did anything about it. Strong mildew and mold smell. Then the first room they put me in obviously had a fire and they just changed out the wall outlet cover and called it good, the sprinkler over the bed was still leaking. They denied there was a fire and moved me to "The only other room we have". No way someone did not spill coffee on the sheets or get murdered on them. It was nasty, and the smell in there as well. Broken wall art, holes, mold, and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom with mold under it everywhere. I left, I told them I was leaving and they said they couldn't refund the night or check me out. But I will gladly pay for 1 night to get out of here. I am here TDY for 21days. Moved to another hotel, much happier. Thinking I should call the health department, no joke. For other people's sake. Heck the front desk clerk swore he could not smell the mildew. I told him he should go to the doctor, like now.
