- KHKathy HudsonOct 8, 20251.0Sad to say our experience was pretty bad. Checked in room and pulled back covers, saw something dark underneath the mattress sheet and was like what is that. Pulled the sheet up and on the mattress pad was dried blood. This left me and my husband, completely disgusted, went downstairs and waited for about five minutes or longer for someone to come to the desk. When I showed her the picture she she first responded with the question what did you pull the sheets off? I was like well I saw something under the sheet and was like what is that? So she did relocate us to another room where the sheets were clean. But to be questioned on me, pulling off the fitted sheet was just wrong. Secondly, having a mattress cover with dried blood was unacceptable. Bathroom was clean, walls are paper thin, we could hear the lady in the room next to us on her phone having conversations late into the night & early in the morning. Highly recommend if you want a good nights sleep to avoid this hotel.

I find the Tru by Hilton brand to generally always be clean and with newer modern renovations.This was an eccellent location (seems like newer more renovated area pf Laffayette. It is not close to the main highway however so that may be an issue of you are just taking a break from driving. It initially turned me off by how far it was from I,-10 but i was pleasantly surprised by the surrounding area. I booked at the last minute late at night while driving through from out of town. I had no problems with check-in. Beds were comfortable. AC was good. Only issue was bathroom had not been cleaned adequately. There was hair in shower and toilet area. I didn't have time to complain or switch rooms; it was late and was only staying one night.

Not only were they kind, but they were informative and very charismatic, you couldn’t help but smile. Next time I will definitely be staying here again in hopes that I get the same “you are family” treatment.
