Hotel like grandmas house.
Corner room has little to no additional value and overall price above value considering lack of amenities and aged accommodation design and culture.

Wish I could give a no star. Us, our family and friends always use this hotel to stay when we have people at the hospital in Lafayette. There was a volleyball team in town on the same floor as us. When we got in late they were decorating the hall that we were all on which we had absolutely no problem with. The problem came in when they started popping balloons at 7:30am. We got our things and left and will not be returning. Common courtesy goes a long way when people do not know why others are staying there trying to get rest.

We arrived to our assigned room with the door propped open. I tried to call the front desk, but the phone in the room did not work. I went back to the front desk and was told that someone is supposed to come check after cleaning and they must have forgotten, but did everything look ok? No apologies, and I noticed in our 4 night stay that this is common and very bizarre. I stay at hotels all over the world, never have seen this practice. Then the next day, our deadbolt somehow locked itself from the inside (we were not in the room). We were informed this by the cleaning crew who had attempted to go into our room even with the do not disturb sign on. Maintenance came and had to break us back into our room. On the last night, against my better judgment, I had our room cleaned. We came back after a day with the bride and groom (we were in town for a wedding) and our room was open with all of our belongings exposed to theft all day long. I have never experienced this at any hotel, ever. When I complained at check out the next day I was told "okay". Lastly, I believe I have bed bugs from this hotel which is run down and badly in need of a remodel. I would never recommend anyone stay here. We only did because it was the recommended hotel for the wedding but it is subpar at best. Another hotel group needs to open a modern hotel here - it would do very well, but it seems like this is the best option in the area, which is shocking. I'd still take my chances and stay somewhere else over this place.
