    I am unsure if all hotels in Baton Rouge are short staff due to holiday season. But this Hampton Inn on Rieger Road by far was one of the most subpar to poor experience I ever had at Hampton Inn . First when we arrived on 23rd of December no one was at the counter for 15-20mins tops. Then when someone did come he claim he was one of two employees only working at the hotel that day and wasn’t apart of the front desk department, Employee Struggled to login which prolong the wait time. The other employee helped but took excessive smoke breaks while on her cell phone later that evening and night no one was at the front desk again for assistance again .Next, no house cleaning crew was there to offer clean sheets and fresh towels when we were gone from the room. On the 24th-25th we ask somebody at the front counter to do that he said, I will offer you fresh towels, and sheets but you gotta make your own bed because I don’t know how. Wow!! …. To Top it all off small roach came out the tub drain the last day ! Usually Hampton Inn has standard quality about themselves not this location!!! Probably why there is little to no business or cars when we arrived !! PS… Management, Corporate, or AI generator no need in responding to this review the hotel experience damage has been done for my family . Unless you wanna refund the 23rd -26th of December.

    While I gave 5 stars there were only a few concerns. I saw a bug what appeared to be a water bug in my bathroom. That can be expected in the area with humidity and water. The carpet in hall had a huge stain but lo and behold there were the cleaners to clean it, carpet looks great smells fresh. And the guest above me….the stomped the entire time I was there even after being asked to be mindful of people below them. I think with large groups with children they should put them on first floor or have a side for them. Otherwise everyone was gracious and accommodating. Oh and breakfast yes it was good as well, never failed

    Found this hotel and thought it would great place to stay due to location and easy to the highway. Upon checking in because we arrive a little early our room was not ready, they quickly found a replacement. This is where things head south, we open door and was hit with old musty attic stinch which appropriately matched the decor. With two adults and one kid who had traveled from New Orleans we had to immediately use this restroom the commode required two flushes minimum to flush simple toilet paper. And waiting for the toilet bowl to refill was like waiting for a 20ft deep pool to be filled. What we didn't realize was that you had to shake the handle to close the valve so that the bowl could fill. Breakfast was cold including the hot water for tea. I've included pictures that irked me the most.

    These were by far the nicest rooms I've stayed in anywhere. Very beautiful, clean, well organized and homes. It felt like home away from home. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety of everything. Parking was a challenge but doable, in a coach bus. Will recommend and request for future visits.
