Maybe I'm being a little hard on this place, but I just want that impressed. It wasn't bad. The rooms were neat and clean, although there were dryer sheets left in between the mattresses. I was hard pressed to get a bit shower. Hot water came from the sink, but I waited a long time to get a hot enough shower to step into, and even then it wasn't great. The staff weren't impolite, but they didn't really seem like they were happy to see you either. Maybe she just had a bag day. I didn't know, but first impressions reflect upon your establishment.
Even the breakfast was flawed a bit. It was nice that it was complementary. A nice spread of scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy. There's were juices, yogurt, dry cereal, and oatmeal, and English muffins. But why were the scrambled eggs salty. If I want salt on my eggs, I will put it there. Being a heart patient, that was something I was counting in to give me protein, without sodium. No such luck.
And, the elevator interior could use a sprucing up. It just looked dingy.
For most people, I'm sure this will fit the bill just fine, and maybe I'm being picky, but if they just fixed a couple of small things, they could elevate their status very quickly.

I stay at this Hampton all the time, and unfortunately I’m very unhappy with the way breakfast is handled during the week — specifically because of the “breakfast manager.” She is never around when customers actually need help. At least once every single stay, the front desk employee has to go back to the office just to find her. That should not be normal.
Whenever the front desk person has to go get her, she comes out looking clearly unhappy and irritated, as if she doesn’t like having to actually do her job or be bothered by guests needing assistance. That attitude alone makes the situation even more uncomfortable and unprofessional. I have even overheard her several times talking about finding another job, which honestly shows in her attitude and lack of effort.
What makes this even more frustrating is that this is NEVER an issue on the weekends. Breakfast runs smoothly, staff is present, and everything is stocked. On weekends there are even two waffle options available, which never seems to happen during the week. So it’s very clear this is an isolated issue with the weekday breakfast manager, not the hotel overall.
On top of not being available, she doesn’t even manage the basics — like keeping the coffee filled. Empty coffee pots during breakfast hours are unacceptable, especially for a Hampton where breakfast is supposed to be a key part of the stay.
During one of these incidents, I finally paid attention to her name tag. I know her first name was Lisa — I can’t remember her last name — and it said “breakfast manager” or some type of manager. I’m assuming breakfast manager, and I’m pretty sure that’s what it said.
I like this hotel and I’m a repeat guest, but this ongoing problem really hurts the experience. If this does not get resolved by my next stay, I will be looking up the hospitality group that owns this property — Northstar Hospitality — and will be contacting them directly. If future guests are looking for the true Hampton experience, this location — because of her — is not the one. At this point, even a Super 8 might be an option.

We had a wonderful stay during our trip to the Ark Encounter! Our room was spacious, very clean, and perfect for our family. We enjoyed the indoor pool and the workout room, and the breakfast was great. The Christmas decorations made everything feel extra festive.
One of the best parts was how convenient it was—just walk through the gate to the Ark parking lot and hop on the trolley. We also loved having hot chocolate and coffee available anytime.
Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Ark Encounter!
