We ended up grabbing the last room available after leaving another hotel that was absolutely disgusting, and we were so relieved to finally have a clean room! The AC worked great, the tub drained properly (and even had a plug, which was perfect for giving our son a bath), and the breakfast was surprisingly good. The beds weren’t super comfy, but they were decent enough for a few nights. There was no lock on the bathroom door, which can be tricky for moms with “Velcro babies” who love to follow you everywhere 😅. Our only real complaint was the water pressure — for about three days, we barely had any water coming out of the shower. When we called the front desk, the woman said it was probably because “everyone was using the shower at the same time,” which wasn’t very helpful. On the plus side, housekeeping was great — they gave us fresh towels and made our bed every day. Overall, it was okay the shower water pressure was a deal breaker for 5/5 but definitely a huge improvement from where we came from, and we were grateful for a clean, comfortable place to stay.

Jenny the manager was not very empathetic towards my moms and I situation when we tried to call and explain that we had broke down on the side of a mountain and wouldn’t be able to make it to the hotel.

Disappointed by Management and Customer Service I had a very disappointing experience at this Hampton Inn. Due to an issue with my reservation, I requested a refund—but the manager refused to work with me or offer any kind of resolution. There was no empathy, no flexibility, and no effort to make things right. It felt like they cared more about keeping the money than keeping a customer. I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties before and usually have great experiences, but this location was a major letdown. If you value customer service and accountability, I strongly recommend choosing a different hotel. There are plenty of other options that treat guests with respect and fairness.

***AMERICAN GREED***I recently had a deeply upsetting experience at the Hampton location managed by Jenny. Due to a tragic family emergency—my cousin was killed—I had to cancel my stay. On top of that, my brakes failed while I was in another state, making travel impossible. Despite explaining the situation, Jenny refused to refund the night I was charged for. What made things worse was the dismissive and rude attitude I encountered. I was told to call Hilton Honors myself, even though Hilton confirmed that Jenny had the authority to issue a refund. Her decision not to help felt greedy and completely lacking in compassion during a time of grief. I understand policies exist, but empathy and flexibility should be part of customer service—especially when someone is dealing with a death in the family. I hope Hilton reconsiders how they empower their managers to handle sensitive situations like this.
