The Hampton Inn Richmond hotel is located in Richmond, Kentucky, just off I-75 at Exit 87. Our hotel is located near Fort Boonesboro State Park, Eastern Kentucky University, Berea College, Richmond Mall, the Lexington/Bluegrass Army Depot, the Lexington/Bluegrass Airport and the University of Kentucky. A variety of great restaurants, including Champion's Sports Bar/Grill, Cracker Barrel, Outback Steakhouse, Applebee's and Woody's (local cuisine), are located within two miles of our hotel. Complimentary high-speed wireless internet access is available throughout the Hampton Inn Richmond. Our complimentary hot continental breakfast, served daily, features Krispy Kreme pastries. We also offer complimentary copies of the USA Today, as well as our local newspaper, the Lexington Herald. Each room of our hotel features an interior entrance, coffeemaker, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and a 27'' TV with HBO. We also offer connecting rooms (limited), cribs, an exercise room, indoor pool, hot tub, and refrigerators (limited to certain room types). Our hotel meeting room is available for a nominal fee.     We came into town late, called and asked if there was anything and was told yes, so we told them our info and headed that way. We were about an hour away and it was about midnight and we had our 3 children with us. We ended up spending money elsewhere. We arrived and she Spent an hour looking for our reservation, was told they didn’t have it, but to go across the street to home2, their sister hotel and they should have the availability. So we went to home2, they didn’t have anything. They tried to call the lady across the street we had just spoken with 10 minutes prior, several times and no answer. Home2 offered as much as they could for us. But ultimately we had to go back to the Hampton to make sure we hadn’t been charged. When we came back in, the same lady was asleep at the font desk. After we woke her up and tried to make sure I hadn’t been charged(since my Hilton app was saying I was) it was only then, after almost 2 hours, she said “oh my goodness I just found it! I was looking at the wrong hotel’s reservations! Oopsie daisy” We ultimately left I understand mistakes happen, but there should be a knowledgeable, capable adult behind the counter if they are gonna be there by themselves handling customers. We pulled into the Quality Inn parking lot and were checked in, bags inside and kids in the room in less than 10 minutes.

    I had a decent stay here at Hampton, beds were clean and comfy and the layout was cool. I guess they are currently in some renovation but the only thing I saw was the door number signs on the ground. Other then that it was very quiet. I like the little welcome note and candy on the bedside table. Breakfast could have been better but they were busy. Small gym

    Beautiful rooms with comfy beds. Everything you need. The room is amazingly clean. Sometimes when you're having a rough moment on the road all you need is a kind word from a stranger. Cindy, at the front desk was that person for me today. And I greatly appreciate her. Beautiful hotel room with all the amenities, close to everything, great price and greater staff. What more could you ask for?!

    Your response to my review is a joke. No thank you… you cannot make this up to me. And I won’t be reaching out. There is plenty of DECENT hotels that have respectful staff.
