Location is good. This hotel is ok. Loud LOUD running and stomping until about 11pm. Probably kids, it was the weekend. I get that. Cars can be very loud at times as well. Woke up sore and shoulders killing me and the breakfast is maybe the worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever seen. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and this is by far the most poor excuse for a breakfast. The $160 incidental deposit fee is also a bit steep. All in all, if you need somewhere to stay for one night, it’s ok. But if you’re going to stay longer, shell out some more money.

This hotel is nicer than I expected. When you go to your room your name is on the TV to greet you. It's very clean and the room is modern. The room we have is not very big ,it has two queen size beds in it. Overall it's very clean. Even the halls are clean. Downstairs there is o nice clean modern dining area. I got there in the evening so I will find out in the morning what they have to offer. Enjoy your stay. Checkout at 11am

**** WARNING ****
I had to make a Trip to Cincinnati on a short notice. I found a room available at the Hampton Inn in New Port Kentucky. I pre-paid for the reservation, and looked over the website to make sure there were no unexpected fees. As I was enroute to Cincinnati, I called the Hampton Inn in New Port Kentucky. I asked them if they had handicap accessible Rooms available on 1st floor ( because i have a disability) they did not. I then asked them what the incidental hokd or deposit was. They advised me it was $ 150.00. I was like " i only paid $133.00 for the room, and now you want me to shell out another $150 just to stay the night there? They advised that the $150.00 deposit was mandatory for all guests.
I explained that they did not disclose this fee on the expedia website. They didn't care!
I just got laid off from my government job, i had to rent a car, pay for those expenses, and fees. Money was tight, and i just didnt want to shell out over $293.00 out of my pocket, just to stay the night somewhere
($10 parking + $133.00 Room + Tax + $150.00 Deposit= $293.00) out of pocket.
Not including the rental car, deposit, gas, food etc. Money was tight, especially when your laid off. I have stayed at $500 a night resorts in chicago, or Ocean Front resorts in Myrtle Beach and Florida in the past, and NONE of them ever hold that much in deposits. Most hotels hold $ 20 or $30 for incidentals. I had a major credit card and I was 53 years old ( So I'm not one to party or tear up a room) so i felt that fee was unreasonable.
I called expedia, and explained the situation. They called The Hampton Inn in New Port, and explained that they did not disclose this fee on the expedia website. They explained the situstion. They did not care, they refused to allow me to stay unless I shelled out $150.00 deposit. Hampton Inn also refused to allow me to cancel and get a refund and go somewhere else. They had my money and they were gonna keep it regardless of the circumstances.
Expedia finally cancelled the reservation, and ate the cost of the room ( $133.00) because Hampton Inn New Port Absolutely Unequivically Refused to work with us. Expedia refunded my money to me ( and took a $133.00 loss) I then made a reservation with the Holiday Inn in Covington ( The Same Area) and got the room for $101.00 with no parking fees
And only a $30 incidental hold. The Holiday inn treated me well, and I had a great stay
( Thank you Expedia)
However, having been a former General Manager of multiple hotels myself, I can tell you that in my opinion, there is no need for $150 deposits. People are already struggling in todays economy with food prices, gas, housing and vehicles etc. These excessive deposits and high room costs dont help. In my opinion It's just corporate greed !
Ive stayed at several Hampton Inn's in my life time. After this experience, I will Never Stay at a Hampton Inn Again !

Very reasonably priced, clean facility and rooms, great complimentary breakfast, the view of the city was cool. Only critique I have is the pool was smaller than the photos made it appear and it was colder than expected for a heated pool. All in all, was a great stay and would book here again.

This hotel is in such a great location. We could see both stadiums (Reds & Paycor) from our room. Everything was within a 10 minute drive. Checking in/out was easy, good parking ($10/night), the hotel smelled good when walking through the halls, rooms were clean, and staff were friendly - no complaints there. They also allow you to text them when you need anything which is very convenient. Only issue I had was when I went to get OJ from the dispenser during breakfast, an ant fell into my cup/juice which ruined it a bit for me. The omelet was very good and my husband enjoyed his waffle as well which you make yourself at the waffle station. I would recommend and would stay again when we return to the Cincy/Newport area.
