The only redeeming quality is the friendliness of the front desk staff. There was even a young lady who started her front desk job this weekend and she was a delight, as were the more seasoned staff members who were training her. Seriously—you all are top notch in that regard. Everything else, however, has been absolutely atrocious this weekend. Elevator out of service…pool out of service…microwave in our room doesn’t work. The icing on the cake, so to speak, has been the incredibly rude female worker who works in the kitchen for the continental breakfast. First, she needs serious coaching on basic manners and communication skills when interacting with guests. For example, instead of saying, “Excuse me” to people, she screams, “Watch yourself!” Um…what? You need to watch YOURSELF, lady! PLEASE consider training her to instead say (POLITELY), “Excuse me,” “Pardon me,” etc. ^ especially to the CHILDREN Second, and third…if you allow her to complain about hotel guests, please consider reminding her to not do her complaining IN FRONT OF THE GUESTS—especially when her complaints are about guests eating the complimentary continental breakfast that HER EMPLOYER provides. I hadn’t planned on getting bacon at the continental breakfast this morning, but…as I was waiting on my waffle to cook, she screamed in front of all of us (with some of our 11-12 year-old children present): “I’m tired of all these people coming down here and eating everything! This is the sixth pan of bacon I’ve made and I’m not making anymore!” Well, considering that I’m with one of the dozens of soccer families giving this place a substantial amount of business this weekend, and the hotel apparently doesn’t have a manager on duty on Saturdays and Sundays… I scooped every piece of bacon from that purportedly “final” pan of bacon onto a plate so these soccer KIDS and their families can eat in peace without being publicly chastised by some kind of female hybrid of Gordon Ramsay and Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi. A manager needs to be on duty during the weekends—or at least when you have a fully booked facility with literally nothing in operational working order (like the elevator). And, especially to ensure that Bitter Breakfast Belinda either conducts herself in a far more appropriate and respectful manner in front of PAYING GUESTS or find a job that’s better aligned for her overly aggressive and disrespectful personality.

Rook 202. The only good thing about this place was the young man that checked me in. Room was dirty and had an oder to it. Carpets were severely stained, sticky and nasty. .y socks were black after walking on the carpet. Its had to be years since it was cleaned.Hairs in the bathroom sink, and floors. Crumbs and food particles on the floor by the bed. Which meens the bathroom floor wasnt swept and the carprts wasnt vacuumed. Room did not have a alarm clock or USB ports for your cell phones. They should be paying us to stay here. I wish I could post the pictures i took. But I will be contacting Hilton with these pictures. This looks like a run down Days Inn not a Hilton Brand.

I stayed at this hotel for a short weekend trip, checking in on Friday night (October 3rd) and checking out on Sunday. Overall, the hotel was decent. I had a first-floor room with high ceilings, which was a nice touch. The room itself appeared clean, though it had a noticeable musky odor that affected the overall feel of the space. While it wasn’t the worst in terms of cleanliness, the smell definitely took away from the experience. What really stood out, however, was the kindness and dedication of the breakfast staff. Huge shoutout to the man and woman working in the breakfast area—they were both absolutely exceptional. The woman even made a special trip to get apple juice and brought it out in a pitcher since the machine was out. That small but incredibly thoughtful gesture went above and beyond. The gentleman cooking and managing the food area was also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and clearly cared about the guests' experience. Unfortunately, I did have a negative encounter with one of the front desk staff on Saturday. It seemed she may have been brought in from another property to assist, but she came off as rude and clearly didn’t want to be there. It was a stark contrast to the rest of the team and left a poor impression. If temporary staff are going to be brought in, I’d recommend ensuring they meet the same standard of hospitality as the regular team. Overall, my stay was okay—elevated by the excellent breakfast team, but brought down by the room odor and one unpleasant staff interaction.
